I have a urine test tomorrow and planned on substituting to pass it being as though I have used marijuana daily for the past year. My smoking and living habits are as follows...

Although I have smoked weed almost every day for the past year, I smoke minimal amounts when I do. I have a small one-hitter that I pack 2-3 times before I go to bed and I'm good. I rarely smoke more than this. Again, I smoke frequently (almost every day) but in very small quantities.

I also exercise as much as I smoke. I hit the gym almost every day of the week, whether to body build or do cardio. My diet is also pretty clean, as I consume fat, protein, and carbs at proper ratios and keep up with my daily servings of fruits and veggies. I am also an enthusiastic drinker of green tea.

I have a naturally fast metabolism, as I maintained a very low body fat percentage even before I started working out. As a matter of fact, before I started hitting the weights I was extremely skinny and very self conscious about it.

So I have been clean from marijuana for only three days now, and I have a urine drug screening coming up tomorrow. I decided to buy a home drug testing kit for the hell of it to see if my abstinence had an effect. To my surprise, I did test negative for the presence of THC and passed the test. I followed the instructions exactly, and am sure I did the test correctly. I am going to buy another test kit of a different brand and take it later to verify these surprising results.

Based on the information I have provided, does it make sense that an at home test came up negative for the presence of THC? The test I used was THC specific, and did not test for any other drugs. I am worried there were other variables that gave me a false negative, but I can assure you I did not dilute my urine and it was indeed very colorful and full of odor. I have not used any detox products or methods throughout my 3 day abstinence or ever in my life.

Do you guys think this was an accurate negative reading? I need some real experts to answer here. I was going to substitute my urine with my friend's but now I'm considering using my own in light of these results.

You could be good. Everybody processes THC metaboites at different rates, you may just be quicker at it. You probably have a faster metabolism and very little body fat for the thc to hide in as well. Take another test and if it comes up negative you should be OK. Maybe dillute lightly with 40 oz of gatorade to be on the safe side. Good Luck.

Thanks man. I bought a test of a different brand and those results showed I was negative as well. I am reassured now and very relieved I don't need to go through the hassle of substituting. I can just aim and go! I will do a little dilution though, definitely couldn't hurt.

I went through the exact same scenario for a prescreen test on a job a couple years back. Bought 3 of those home tests just to be sure, all of which were negative.

I decided to just piss and pray, turns out I should have been more concerned about the prescribed medication from my doc. He had me on cyclobenzaprine, a muscle relaxer, and darvocet, both of which came back positive on my test. No positive for MJ.

Had to have the doc fax some paperwork to the employer to verify the validity of the scrips I had, and all went well....

Until I figured out how shitty being a GM actually is. But that's another story for another thread.

alright I just took my urine test. If anyone is interested I took it at Labcorp. It was very noninvasive and I could have easily substituted if I wanted. They just asked me to empty my pockets, but I was allowed to hold on to my wallet. They checked my ID and everything, filled out some paperwork, pissed, and that was it.

I came in 5-10 mins before they were closing so they tried to rush me in and out. If you are substituting and worried about too much time elapsing while you have someone else's urine stored on you, try to show up at the lab close to closing time. They take you in real quick!

I used my own piss since the two different at home tests I took showed a negative result. Hopefully, their labs will say the same. I'll make a post when I get my results.

I think you will be good. I have a bunch of strip tests left over and I am experimenting on myself. I smoked 1/2 joint on Wed and 1/2 joint on Thurs. Layed off since then. I just tested myself a little while ago today on Monday and passed.

Just to let you guys know I passed my drug test! Woo! Big relief!
