I have QF 5.7 ready to go and have been practicing getting temp correct. Without heating pads, I can keep it about 92-94 degrees when crotched. I haven't used the heating pad yet because I don't want to waste it.

My question is, how hot will this heating pad get? It's the standard one included w/ QF but it says up to 140degrees. That said, should I be concerned about overheating when using the pad? Do I need to crotch the bottle when using the pad or will that get 'my boy's' burned up?

From everything I've read, the heating pads will not overheat but just wondering if I still need to crotch next to the boys for body heat or if I can double up on underwear and not get it so close to my body.

I would go with the double underwear route. You can get more of those heatpads at any walmart or dollar store.

QF heat pads won't over heat it and I always use them and always crotch it. You will find the sample in the cup right around 100 degrees. Lightly swirl and blow on it, look at the strip on the side of the cup and it will drop about a degree with a blow or two. Good luck...
