Hi all! Thank you in advance for at least checking out my thread. I am pretty sure that I am going to be drug tested tomorrow at work, but I am not sure what time.

My buddy is going to sub for me but due to conflicting schedules the only time I can obtain the sample is before work in the morning.

The plan is to collect the sample around 8:00am. The new employee orientation is around 11:00. This is when I will receive the form to take to the lab.

My plan is to leave work and take the test at lunch time.

I have a vial with a temp strip and an adhesive toe warmer. If I slapped the toe warmer on the vial right after obtaining the sample I can keep it warm until lunch time.

My question is will the sample maintain validity until lunch time if I obtain it in the morning before work? What if they only allow me to leave early to take the test (around 4:00pm)? Will it maintain validity until then?

I have scoured the net and these forums for an answer to these questions and have yet to find anything clear cut.

Yes it will in a tightly caped container. 8 hours should be no problem at all. I think I've read over the years it should stay good at least 2, maybe 3 days. Refrigerating it would be better but you can't so I say good to go.
