Recently got a job offer, which required a pre-employment drug test..the last time i smoked up was the first sunday of 09/2009....had my test on 11/06/09...ive been a daily smoker (bowl or two a day, a gram would last me a week)...didnt smoke alot, but was consistent

im 24, heavy build (255lbs)..not very active, most likely slow metabolism...but i havent seen/touched/smoked the greens since the first weekend of sept...

i took the test thinking id pass by now....out of curiosity i bought a test at home drug kit (the one from phamatech, avail @ riteaid/walgreens/etc)...basically i think i failed. wht are my chances of passing the actual test i already took? i dont know if they use those insta-strips...but two samples of urine was collected, and is supposed to be sent to a lab.

What caused you to believe you failed your home THC test?

i bought two tests earlier, one that tests for THC only, and another that tests for 5 diff kinds.

took the THC test, half a faint line..assumed its fail ghost line.

took the 2nd one (multi-drug test) hours later....4 out of 5 results showed two opaque, clearly visible lines. the one under THC, 2nd line was very faint...im assuming that its a ghost line since the paper/fabric was soaked.

A faint line is still a line. If it can be photocopied, its a line which is a negative.


And whenever you take home tests, always use the first pee of the day when THCA concentrations would be at their highest, unaffected by any fluid consumption which would skew the test result.

update on the situation: no call back from the company yet. will post results of the preemployment test regardless once i hear results.



HOWEVER, another company which i applied for called me back, and they want me to start ASAP..i know for sure they dont drug test....perhaps this was a blessing in diguise..the pay is better, and its closer to home!!

I would jump on that within a blink of an eye.

But lets hope this employer wont ever get bought out by some corporate Nazi, who would implement a "drug free workplace program".
