Thread: HELP! DRUG TESTED> TRIED MANY AT HOME TEST GOT DIFFERENT RESULTS.. HEEEELP!

Ok soo I am freaking out here guys! Im going to explain my situation with hope that someone can give me advise, ease my mind or just give me their opinion. I know its a little long but bare with me. Any response is super appreciated.

So I have been clean for 44 days now. I was a heavy smoker. At least a good blunt of the good stuff a day for about 2 years. I am 5'7, female, and about 165 pounds. I had a drug screen come up for employment yesterday. I tested my self with two at home screening kits I bought from my local drug store the day before the test. I showed positive for both of them. I was not expecting this at all! I thought I was good to go! I was 43 days clean! I mean I had not beeen drinking tons of water or running 3 miles a day or trying any special way to get it out of my system. I just assummed after 30 days I would test clean. I now know thats not always the case. The test I took the day before had a VERY VERY VERY faint line. I mean it might not have even been there it was so light.... maybe I was just so desparate to see something there! So I down about 4 bottles of water that evening.

So the day of the real test I drank a detox drink and about 16 oz of water about 2 hours before I had to go to the testing agency. I bought an at home test and took it right before I had to take the real thing. I pass it with both lines clearly there. So I go take the test and there I was informed it was being sent off to a lab. I paniced bought another test used it when I got home and passed. The line was fainter than the one I took before the real testing, but still their. I was worried sick all night about this! I have just been reading so many different things! I know I passed the one before and after the actual screening but the fact that its being sent to a "Lab" has me so nervous.

Anyway I bought another test when I got off work today to try to ease my mind. This one has two lines but the drug line is fainter than both of the at home ones I took yesterday. I have spent about $120 bucks on these at home screens because im so worried about this situation. Can someone please help!

I am already working at the job, through a temp service.. So it will be REALLY embarassing if they come in and say "We cant hire you on because you failed your screening, pack your stuff and go!"

What are the odds that I am just over reacting and I most likely passed? What are the chances I failed the lab test? Any response would be great.

Nothing you can do about it now. Almost all tests get sent to the lab so don't worry about that.
It can easily take more than 60 days for some of us to get clean. Don't believe the feds when they spread there nonsense about thc levels.
Next tine sub with synthetic urine. Its easy to do and you can find it for less that $20. Try some of your local smoke shops and see what they have. QuickFix seems to be the most reliable.

I thought of that but im not experienced at all with trying to sub and there was someone in there watching me through a mirror . So whats your opinion on the test results I took my self? Do you think since I was negative before and after the test and I was negative the next day (today) I had a chance of passing.?? I was positive the day before but didnt have a positive test the day of or after?
I know its a little late. But im so worried and stressed out about this whole thing! I just want some other peoples opinions on it. I'd rather save myself the shame at work and just quit if I didnt pass the test. :/

What would give you the idea someone was looking at you through a 2 way mirror?

Not through I meant they were looking at me in the mirror . The woman came in the bathroom with me. She did have her back turned to me but there was a mirror that was on the wall infront of the toliet. She could look in that mirror with her back to me and see if I was trying to sub. Im sure that was the purpose of them hanging a small square mirror on the wall infront of where the test is conducted. The mirror was below eye level if standing

ANYONE out there that wants to give their feedback on if I could be in the clear or not??

Just an update: I got on Advanced Toxicology's website and entered my specimen number. The results say that it was "Reported". Since I took the test about 24 hours ago I would think this would be a good sign? Does anyone know?

Reported could mean anything from bad to good.
The woman is not allowed to watch you in a mirror. Get her name and record the time of the incident and report it to your stae dept of labor and industry. They can only watch if they have reasonable suspicion that you were going to cheat on the test and obviously that wasn't the reason because she was trying to be sneaky about it. Never allow anyone to enter the room with you when taking a drug test. Jump on them about it and if they won't get out of the room either tell them you're going to go see an attorney or just stall her and say you can't pee. Then schedule another appointment to give yourself more time to think about your next step.

OO well thats great info to know if this ever happens again! So I found out today by calling the lab that the results were received and reported to the DOT yesterday.. Then the lady relised I was the specimen donor and said she couldnt speak with me . From things I read I gather if you fail a test it is not reported till at least 36 hours after the screening. It has to go to a Medical Response Officer (MRO) for further testing. Since I didnt get a phone call from the MRO and the test was reported to the DOT withing 24 hours of me taking the screeing I think I passed. Also I went into work today (I've been working there through a temp im just in the hire on process) and had several conversations with the HR and nothing was ever mentioned about a failed screening. If the DOT received it yesterday I would think the first thing they would have done with a positive report was call the employer..? Whats your input? Do you think im ok??

Don't know why they would be contacting DOT. Usually the employer is the one they contact because they are the ones that paid for the test. I'm guessing its just being sent to GC/MS for confirmation which usually means the strip test came up with something. But strip tests pop false positives all the time for different substances so it may mean nothing. Nothing to do but wait for a couple more days and then maybe ask when you get to start at the new job. Never mention the drug test.

Nothing has been said about it at work. I assume if the DOT received my results Wednesday if they were positive the employer would have told me by now . also i found out the cut off level at the lab was the same cut off level that i used for the at home test before and after i took the one that was sent to the lab. And both of them came out negative. So since i didn't hear anything from anyone at my job Friday i am pretty sure i am in the clear. If it had come out positive at the lab a MRO Would have received my screening for further test. Not the DOT.

If you popped positive you wouldn't be working at that new job. They are not supposed to allow to even work that job till the results come back. They can get there asses sued for not following DOT protocol. It sounds like you're in good shape unless the company is just run by idiots in the HR department.

DOT drug testing is highly regulated. If you had failed the MRO has 24 hours to contact you. No call then you passed...no exception. The results do not go to DOT. Only to specifically appointed individuals with the employer. No one else. The current cutoff for cannabis is 50ng. That is a requirement. Cannot vary. It is also interesting to note the collection procedure. Observed collections are not allowed unless there has been a previous dilute or adulterated sample.
