Thread: Body hair test

I found out that I had to do a drug test about a week ago for preemployment. I get to the place and I have to do a hair test. I've shaved my head for years now so they had to take some under arm hair.

The thing is, I've smoked once about 13 months ago. Should I be worried since they took body hair? I've heard body hair holds it significantly longer.

I'm no expert, but I have spent alot of time digging through this forum and others. From the research I've done, body hair does in fact give a longer detection window, but there is debate over how long. I've seen some info that says a year and others that say three or more. It sounds like with your single use, and the length of time since you smoked, you're probably in the clear but I would suggest you search the site in more detail. As I've been told, Deige and Jerry G are the true hair test gurus, so I would defer to posts you find from them. Good luck!
