I heard that Niacin helps clean your system out fast if u take enough.. anyone have experience with this at all? I have 50 250mg Niacin pills and my test might be on Thursday I smoked a few times over the weekend. I also have cranberry juice for purifying my system.

So basically.

You should probably refrain from taking more than you really "feel" like you can. Niacin affects everyone differently, depending on your body chemistry. You probably want to stick to the recommended dosage at first and if you feel comfortable (and paranoid) You could possibly think about doubling it the next day.

It's a vitamin, so you can't really "overdose" on it.. but you can make yourself feel pretty uncomfortable if you abuse it. So be smart.

Alright, I took 5 like 20 minutes ago so 1250mg. So far my head is burning up and my neck and my shoulders. That doesnt bother me tho. I'm also kinda hot. I'll keep updated since it turned into a sticky. Any other experiences or advice is welcome..

It's got a fairly short half life so you can't just take 5 at once and expect everything to be gravey.
You need to process it into your system which means taking it like 3-4 times throughout the day until the test.

yeah i was wondering about niacin, too. I could randomly be asked to take a piss test by mom at any time, and I don't think she's going to give me any notice. Is niacin the way to go in this situation?

Niacin DOES work. Infact i smoked THE day of my last piss test. If you have notice...take two 500mg quick release(time capsules dont work because they dont give the full does effectively) 4 hours before the test. Then like an hour or two before your test take two more 500mg's. The first time you take the pills you will burn up, go crazy itching like you need a coke fix, and you might even get sick. But thats why you take it 4 hours before the test. Because when you take it again an hour or two before the test...all the effects have happened already with the last dosage so you get no noticable effects. Sometimes if you look like youve taken niacin theyll make you reschedule. Hope ive shown light on the subject...but im very stoned so i dunno what i just typed.

NIACIN has been used as a THC masking agent since the U.S. Navy started drugtesting long ago (1970s, if I remember right) ... sailors used niacin to beat the tests, and ran around with orange skin for awhile ... SO, THC tests started searching for niacin and other masking agents(bleach, etc), and flunk ya if you show niacin evidence too ...

yo, im 15 yrs old and my om found out i smoked weed by her boyfriend. they now drug test me randomly, at any time. it could be one month and not the next so i really dont know. i was wondering if taking niacin regularly, like 5 per day or something would keep me from gettring nfound out if i smoked weed once or twice, PLEASE PLEASE respond as i really want to smoke weed. lol

I would like to fix my post. I did not pass my drug test. It came up like 40.0. I thought I passed cuz they didnt do anything about it like send me to jail. Although I failed my second one I didnt go to jail becuz the level was lower. I can tell you Nicacin DOES help it get out of your system faster (however faster it may be), but it will not help you pass your test. Now if you only smoked like 2-3 hits, it could help you pass easily. I'd take 8 pills a day. Don't worry your tolerance for the vitamin will go up and you will only get the hots n itches for like the first 2-3 times u do it. If you wanna clean out your system asap id take 14 a day. I took 12 at once and thats what lowered my thc levels by 20%. ANy other questions just asked.

last spring i smoked a blunt the morning of my test and i was freaking out because i didnt have any bleach to put into my piss. a homie of mine hooked it up with 2 500 mg pills of niacin the period before lunch, i took them both. at the beginning of lunch my skin started itching, then it started burning and my skin got red as a beet. my skin was so sensitive for the next few hours all i could do was sit still and hope nothing touched me. then it went away and started to feel normal again. then i had to take my UA after school and i passed, i passed, i passed, i passed. its the solid truth, niacin made me clean, although at the cost of a few hours of extreme discomfort

Ok, first of all, bleach in your urine *shakes head* Second, your "proof" is nothing but a fallacy of causation. You're assuming that because you took niacin and passed that it was the niacin that was responsible. Just because B happens, does not mean A caused it. Like I said, it's like prayer, purely coincidental.

speak what you like, but i know that my test wasnt dirty because of it. if you dont believe me try it yourself. also, putting bleach in your piss DOES work, me and a lot of my homies have done this and got clean tests so unless your saying that we're all wrong at that they were all just "purely coincedental" dont be speaking. i understand that your defending what you said, but im saying that your wrong. its never been proven either way that niacin cleans you or not. i dont think it does, i think it masks it well enough tho.

That shit happened to me and I thought I was going to have to go to the fucking hospital. I was at work and my whole body started turning red. I burned and itched and was flipping out. I thought I was having some sort of crazy alergic reation to it.

It lasted about 30 minutes but seemed like an hour and haven't taken them since.

There are two types of Niacin, Nicotinic Acid and Niacinamide. To achieve the Niacin "flush", which will happen by taking a megadose (about 300-900 mg. and all B vitamins are water-soluble so it is very difficult to take enough to cause any type of damage to your body). the "flush" will happen with Nicotinic Acid because you will dilate the capillaries, therefore enabling a mad rush of blood to flow in a way that it normally doesn't. This is what causes the hot flashes and light headedness (which I actually enjoy). And this doesn't really detox a person but rather allows toxins that are stored deep inside body tissue to be put into the circulatory system and allow the liver to filter the toxins that were trapped way down, out of the body. So it goes without saying to not Niacin flush the day of your UA. Niacinamide will NOT do this because it is a synthetic vitamin B3 and is manufactured to be time released in the body to specifically not give a "flush" of the skin. But most of this can be avoided simply by adding more cayenne pepper and ginger to your diet, both help very much with circulation.

How much is a "a couple" of glasses of water? Did you drink a gallon? You said you smoke a lot, did you ever consider the fact that chronic users can actually pass a test simply because they're chronic users?

...and no, I don't give a shit about personal experience. If we based everything on personal experience it would be a pertty sad existence. You can tell me all day long about how niacin works, but the fact is it doesn't. You're assuming it does because you took it and passed the test. Like I said, you could have taken peppermint oil and passed your test and you'd be claiming that worked too. Since we're on that subject, what else did you eat or do that day? Did you piss? Did you eat anything with flour in it? If so, you might as well tell me that flour and peeing will make you pass a drug test...

Now, I am Biggumz Shwaggmire PH. D.(pot head degree) DSM (doctorine of Smoking Marijuana). I have recently joined the military (a long time ago actually) and I have to say that Niacin does work, but alot of things go along with passing a UA besides just taking some pill or drink and your done with it. Cleaning your system quickly and easily cannot be done by anyone. What I mean to say is there is no pill, powder, or drink that is gunna have you THC free in 24hrs. The only way to be safe with a drug test is to not do drugs...however.

THC (tetrahydracannibinol...spellcheck) as we all know is the goodness in the goodness that gets us high. THC is an oil-based chemical that stores itself in our fat cells, Thus giving it a half-life in our system ranging from 24hours to 60days. Your BFI (body fat index) is a calculation of all the fat in your body (excluding the brain which is also fat and also stores THC). The higher your BFI you have then the more thc your body can store. simple.

Now, if you are over weight aka above average BFI then it will take you longer to rinse all of that out. If you are slightly underweight and have a high metabolism it doesn't take as long. The length of time you are "dirty" is also effected by how much pot you smoke. If you are fat and you take 1 hit then obviously not ALL of your fat cells are going to be filled with THC, but if you are fat and smoke a dub everyday like most stoners then your gunna have a problem.

I smoke pot daily and I am drug tested once a month. I have to tell you that niacin alone will never clean you out. Niacin itself has a thermogenic effect in the body and it stimulates and promotes blood circulation. Thermogenics increase the heat and rate at which calories are burned aka it bakes the thc out of your fat and loosens it up. Water and our own blood do the cleaning of our bodies ( this is why niacin is good). Your blood circulates through your body everyday and carries toxins and unknown materials out of your fat cells, skin, muscle, bone, organs...etc. and you piss or shit them out accordingly. So by taking niacin and drinking ALOT of water we can "help" this process but never to the point where your body is going to do a week to a months work overnight. Here is my one week plan to passing a drug test SAFELY (without harming your body) with niacin.

Use regular niacin (flush free doesn't have the thermogenic effects). Take 200-500mg of niacin every 2-4hours (yes it burns). For the first day, everytime you do this drink as much water as you can without puking, or at least 2 8oz glasses (I usually just save a large gatorade bottle and chug one of those every hour). Take a timeout from the niacin each day and replace a dose with 20-30min in the suana, if you can't find a suana then dont worry.
Remember that drinking water is more important than taking niacin. Water cleans you out niacin just helps it do it faster. Do this for 5-7 days and you should be THC free (depending on what we talked about earlier). DO NOT SMOKE POT WHILE CLEANING OUT YOUR SYSTEM!!! PASSING A DRUG TEST REQUIRES NOT SMOKING POT!!!!

tip: if you start to feel sick it means your drinking too much water and you need to eat foods that are very salty or mix a tablespoon of salt in a glass of water. there is a such thing as overhydration when you wash all the salts and electrolites out of your body.

tip: dont take a shower while on the niacin wait 1-2 hours after the last dose to take a shower everynight. The water will cause the burning to worsen and can cause a skin rash.

warning: taking large amounts of niacin is dangerous dont ever let anyone tell you "you cannot overdose on anything natural". i wouldn't suggest taking anything more than 500mg at a time it can cause olcers, headaches, fainting, extreme burning of the skin (more than usual) and it can cause a very itchy and nasty rash that will show up everywhere you skin is soft and pale. ouch.

Anyways, good luck... and dont blame me if you piss hot remember that the only sure fire way to pass a drug test is to not do drugs before a drug test. Happy Highs, and take it easy.
