If smoking is a physiological addiction, why it is not irritating you while you sleep? It’s a serious question to be discussed.

There are people who collect cigarettes, according to the length of their journey. They first of all concentrate on acquiring that, instead of packing up any of their belongings. There is nothing impossible to stop, if we try with true heart and determination.

Quit smoking cigarettes is not a hard task. If you have a real wish, just go forward, successes will be yours.

I have a limited, yet clear understanding of herbal medicine. Marijuana is an herbal medicine, and a damn powerful one at that. With any herbal medicine there is a definite need to be respectful of the spiritual, and physical aspects that the plant contains. I feel that I have misused Marijuana most of my life. I have gone between being stoned all day, every day, and quitting for 4 years. After that I got to a point where I was just using edibles occasionally, and learning a great deal from my experiences. Then slowly, over the course of a year I began to smoke occasionally as well, then every day, and here I am, back in the daily use category. I do not need Mary every day. I know a lot of folks do, and for them it's truly a blessing, and I say continue doing what heals you. I need to back off from my daily use. I feel that I, and other's around me, disrespect the medicinal power of this herb, and we use it just to feel "good, normal, high, or whatever".

I know this post may be of an unpopular subject, but really ask yourself... Do you need to use Marijuana as much as you currently do?

I know vaping decreases any health complications that may arise from combustion, and edibles are a completely non-toxic way to medicate. But, think about the effects any herb has on your body. Any herb used on a regular basis will change your body. Your chemical signals, neurological signals, your emotional state, your mental state, physical state, your consciousness, etc. You get my point. I think....

I am in no way saying there is anything "wrong" with daily marijuana use. For some it's the best option for them to live a pain free, or stress free life. Power to you friends. I know for myself that I am going to cut back, and use Mary intuitively as a medicine for my own personal healing. I am out of balance in my relationship with this amazing herb, and I do not want this. I want to maintain balance in all my relations.

:detective1:

Hello Cannabis.com Forum Go-ers,

A quick, relevant, background story about my condition:

Alright, to keep it short, two years ago I was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a malignant bone cancer, in my right fibula. After going through a lot of chemotherapy, I had a limb-sparing surgery. Since the fibula doesn't bear a lot of weight, they took out the top 65% of it and didn't replace it with anything. I am very grateful that I was able to keep my leg, but I do have some problems that at times can be very debilitating and tend to keep me from doing a lot of the things I enjoy.

My right leg hasn't been the same since my surgery, I get these extremely annoying aches in my leg that makes it hard to focus on anything. My surgeon said that these may never go away and I might have to put up with them for the rest of my life. In addition, I often get really bad cramps when I'm trying to sleep at night. He recommended that I take an OTC pain relief medicine (ibuprofen, acetaminophen, etc...), but i find those to be ineffective. I refuse to take any sort of opioid for pain due to a dependance I developed in the months following my surgery. I need something to help me relieve my pain and live my life in a somewhat pleasurable manner.

To sum it up, I am looking for an effective way to manage my pain, and am too afraid of the possibility of dependance to even consider using an opioid to help me manage my pain. Would the use of cannabis be effective in managing my pain?

Wondering if anyone here has a heart condition? I have mild mitral valve prolapse and moderate aortic valve regurgitation.

A year ago I accidentally vaped more then I expected and got high when I wasnt trying to and had a panic attack and called an ambulance. My blood pressure was 160/80, heart rate 180 , palpitations, pale skin, shaking, stumbling, scared as fuck. Medics said I was going into cardiac arrest. Saw cardiologist few days after that and he didnt seem concerned and said it is ok in moderation.

Recently I think that the symptoms where from the panic attack and low blood sugar mostly. I'm curious to check my vitals during a sober panic attack. I havent used any herb for over a year though so I don't know how it would effect me now, I'll talk to my cardiologist again in December because I really wana be able to use the herb for all it's benefits.

Anyone else have a heart condition?

I smoked twice, I took about 2 hits each time. Once from pipe, once from bong.
Mid to high grade stuff.
I would feel a tingle in my feet and lower legs both times.
But nothing else.
You guys think I need to smoke more, larger amounts at a time?

Let me know what you guys think. :hippy:

I have smoked marijuana two times before but didn't get high. Each of those times I had anywhere from 7 to 14 hits. The first time was in June, second was in August.

October 31st I got offered some weed that I'm pretty sure wasn't laced so I smoked it. Seeing as I didn't get high those times I decided to take 30 hits and up of the weed I was smoking. I smoked out of an apple btw, no tin foil just an apple.

After about 3 minutes after finishing I was tweaking like crazy for about an hour to an hour and a half. After that I was kind of chill until l I felt like I got back to normal. At this time I was tired so I decided to go to sleep.

Here's the part that's got me on edge for the past few days. After that night my body feels sort of numb. I basically feel no pain on my tongue, and when food enters my mouth I can't really tell it's there. I also feel detached from reality in some ways and say things, and do things that I wouldn't normally do.

On top of this I have a really high heart rate and have had an anxiety attack last night. Should I see a doctor about these symptoms and is it possible that I may have overdosed on weed.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I was on an antibiotic at the same time could that have anything to do with it.

Hey, I'm new to the site but I've been browsing here for a while. My mother was diagnosed with anxiety disorder almost 17 years ago and has been taking anti-depressants most of that time. She depends on them and although she managed to quit for 2 years she is now back on them, only a different form (she now takes sertraline). She is very anti-Cannabis as she has read a little too far into media speculation but I had a conversation about it with her the other day and she agreed that she'll try Cannabis next year but she is first going to try her best to give up cigarettes, alcohol, and anti-depressants (I don't think she'll manage this, but I'm glad she's at least trying).

We all know that using the wrong strains or a little too much can lead to anxiety and paranoia, and I would like some tips on the best way for her to use it that may actually relieve her anxiety rather than causing more. She used to have severe panic attacks every time she left the house and it'd be nice if she had something that could alleviate this and allow her to feel confident when out and about.

I'm pretty well versed on many of the medical benefits of Cannabis however I do not know anyone personally that has anxiety disorder and smokes/eats it, so I would like to see if anyone has more information on the subject, or if anyone has personal experience in this area.

Strain suggestions, smoking vs edibles, etc are all welcome :)

I might show her this topic once I get some replies too, so if you have any tips for someone who is a little worried about trying it, please post them.

Thanks in advance!

to start things off, this summer during a check up the doctor found that i have an irregular heart beat but that it was nothing to worry about. i took numerous tests for my heart and even saw a cardiologist just to make sure nothing was wrong, however. all of the tests showed that nothing was wrong. i have been smoking for around a year now and a few months ago after smoking a blunt with a friend, i noticed my heart rate accelerated to almost 120 bpm. i got very nervous and felt tingling in my lips. this same thing happened a 2nd time and i went to the er and found that it was just a panic attack. i have felt anxious about my health ever since, but it has subsided. every once in a while i think that there is something wrong with me such as poor circulation or lung problems but i know that i am healthy because i am very active. everytime i smoke i get anxious and once my hands felt numb for a short period of time. i really would like to enjoy smoking as much as i used to and i am hoping that smoking isnt affecting my heart in anyway. what are some helpful suggestions?
