So is it true that cutting cutting my plant smaller will cause it to finish faster? It makes since to me, less fruit to finish means it should finish faster right?

What to do with a severely abused plant...?

One of my ladies had been flowering outdoors for 5 weeks that I had to bring inside because of frosts at night. I wasn't quite finished building and lightproofing my box, so my poor plant was subjected to severe abuse for the next 7 weeks. I at least continued the 12/12 light schedule up until now, but the whole time...it's not lightproof, it's cold in the basement at night, etc.

Anyways, it's been flowering for about 12 weeks total, 5 outside, 7 inside (with severe abuse). Trichs began turning cloudy about 4 weeks ago. Currently, it's 80% cloudy, 20% clear, and 0% amber. It's not growing anymore, there is no new plant growth coming out the top of the colas. The plant is obviously still alive and leaves reaching to the lights, but I believe it's basically just barely getting by, and isn't strong enough to grow.

The problem is the trichs. I like to plants to get at least 50% amber before I harvest (for anxiety and appetite).

I have several successful grows, and know basically what I'm doing. This plant just didn't get the love she deserved. I've never encountered this situation before. I'd like to keep alive in hopes of getting more amber trichs. But I think I may chop it because it's not growing, the trich ratio has been the same for the last 2 weeks, and there isn't even a hint of amber. And I don't want to risk mold growing or anything.

What should I do?

Hi,
I'm getting ready for my first grow. It will be in a 4'x4'x6.5'H grow tent with a 600W HPS. I'd like to get a nice sunsoaker reflector or something, but I know with this set up I'm going to need some sort of air-cooling. I notice the cool-tube reflector, but the actual reflector kinda looks crappy. There's a similar one at HTG Supply that looks to have the same ventilation holes and has a bit better of a reflector. I think that's what I'll be going with.

So, anyway, on to my question. I plan on just running one tube off of the light/reflector with a fan blowing outside the grow tent. So, it will be pulling air into the reflector and exhaust it out of the grow tent. Do you think this would be adequate cooling? I'll also have another exhaust fan in the tent that will be exhausting the tent air... there will be one passive inlet in the tent. Also, I'll probably have a small fan in the tent to circulate air. Do you think this will be adequate ventilation?

I hope it is because my tent will only have 3 x 4-inch vent holes, so I can't really dedicate 2 of them to cooling the lamp and still have adequate ventilation in the main grow chamber. Also, I'll have to find a 6-inch to 4-inch vent reducer, but I'm sure those are easy to find.

Also, I'm curious about putting a HEPA filter or some type of filter in the inlet since it's going to be in a grungy basement. Do you know where I can find those as well as the exhaust fans (4").

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I've read a lot in the past, but I've never had an opportunity to put that knowledge into motion until now and unfortunately I've forgotten a lot of it. It's way to hard to piece everything together from posts in a message board. So if anyone could steer me to an online guide that would be frickin' awesome!!
