hello everyone!
i germinated my seeds in paper towels and i found these rockwool cubes at my local hydroponics store and decided to try em out. Once they sproated a little white root i stuck them into these rockwool 1.5" cubes. Now from here should i put them in a baggie and leave a 2in opening for moisture or do they not need that much moisture anymore and i should just keep cubes wet and put them under the lights? Please give me some advice from more experienced rockwool growers thanks! ToKe uP :rasta:

so i've been away from cannacom for awhile (busy with life) but in the last 5 months quite a few things have changed
i moved my grow space from a cramped closet into an old hidden coal room. swapped out my 250 switchable for a 400 switchable. the flowering chamber is currently cramped with 16 lst'ed bella chaio's( couldn't bring myself to kill the little girls..
the flowering chamber is 3' x 4' the plan is to switch to sog after harvest (about 3 weeks), using 3 gallon growbags, and flowering only when the clones are 6-8" tall. my question, im planning on putting 24 plants under the 400. how does that number sound for you experienced soggers?
thanks for the replies

i understand about cfls, and hps/mh bulbs being better, but i'm going down the cheap route to headsmoke.
right now i'm growing 3 plants, just for future personal use ideally. they're only a week in, so still veg.
i have them in a very small white closet with 2 4ft fluros above, and just for giggles a "spot-gro" bulb hanging above that, sending off a bit of bluish light to add to the fun.
i found a mass of bulbs out in my fathers workshop i can use, but i'm not sure what the best combinations are.

here's what i have available for use (all 40watt 4ft):

2 plant/aquarium wide spectrums
about 8 residentials
2 "home and bath" (i'm told is a little better during flowering stages, as it's more orange)
1 cool white

currently i have 1 wide spectrum and 1 residential combined, but i wasn't sure if it would be better to switch to the cool white, or if it doesn't really make much of a difference.
any thoughts?

Greetings to everyone,smokers and growers

I have here 3 pics with my first NYC Diesel plant grow...

I made a PC Case and I grow it inside. These pics are taken yesterday after 19 days from germination;it's about 10 cm tall by now.Can someone help me with some information about pruning? from what I've read it's useful in developing branches.I already cut the fist and the second set of leafs and I cut them close to the main stem.

I use 4 Phillips CFLs of 27W, 3 daylight and 1 yellow light (6000 K),24/24 so far and the case it's 62cm in height

any other suggestions or advices would be welcomed :) maybe about increasing yield, when to trigger flowering and things like that

i have seen many different threads and posts on af strains. i myself have grown 2 different af strains. i grew the original lowryder back when it was the next big thing. what a disappointment that was lol. my second was the deisel ryder and those 14 plants brought alot of joy into my life
af's arent for everyone but for certain people they are exactly what they need. unlike most af growers i did not grow them for their extraordinary stealth qualities but instead chose them out of pure cuoriosity. hopefully this thread can be blessed with experienced af growers and af info seekers alike so that together we can all help eachother out and expand our knowldge and our yields lol. let me start this out with the first question for you experienced memeber > since my living situation has recently changed i need to think more stealth and find a low odor af strain. i have read many posts on this topic but most were vague. i have researched some supposed low odor strains but was unable to find a stable decent yielding strain. so guys, any info ??? ps. sorry so long but im a little :stoned: thank god i got those free thai super skunk seeds lol i was pissed cause they were real late to flower but its good to have something when everything else is up in smoke lol

Hey everyone, I am new to growing and just thought I would give it a shot (growing for self of course!). I created a grow box out of a Rubbermaid container for starters. It has 6 CFL bulbs each giving off 1700 lumen s per. I had them on a 24 hour light cycle for the first 2 weeks and now have switched them to a 18/6 cycle.I'm currently on my third week of vegging and it seems to me that they are a little small for their age. I'm not for sure though. Also, some of the plants seem to have yellow colored leaves and a little charring on one of them. I'm thinking Nut. burn, but once again I'm not sure. The soil I bought did already have some nutrients in it which is why I haven't gave them any yet. If anyone can help me find a cure or give me any advice for growing I would greatly appreciate it.

Pictures are below!

I'm also beginning to believe that it may be due to nutrient defficancy....I was thinking about getting some Flora Nova Grow tomorrow...what do you think is the right direction to go?
