Anyway, we got an incubator and a 250W LE bulb, germinated some seeds and they've started sprouting. i followed the instructions in this video we have ("mr green") and had the light hanging 12 inches above the seedlings after they sprouted. they are looking a little browish though. Is this normal, or are they dying? we thought maybe the light was too close and was burning them, so we moved it up to more like 2 feet away.

We're planning on using a hydroponic system, and we currently have them sitting in these little cubes, and are keeping them nice and moist. We've been maintaining a constant temperature of about 28 degrees celcius. The seedlings are green with some brown splotches. Obviously if it goes out then both buckets are minus air. Is there anything else?

I am starting a new grow here soon and will be using 10 gallons totes that are 20.75 L x 14.5 W x 13 H". How many plants should i grow in each one. I need to fit as many as possible. It is going to be a DWC/DRIP system. I was thinking 3-5 at max. Anyone have any input on DWC using totes. only have 8 sq feet times 2 to work with. and need to have at least 4 tote in each 8 square foot section. one veg and one flower.

I have 3 square tubes 4.75" squared. I'm running them on a fog/aero and the tubes are in a series so that it's like a giant loop. At any rate, the sections are 32 inches long which is nearly 3 feet and like I said there are 3. I almost put 5 on each rail then decided 4 on each rail and now I think 3 is a better number. I have seen some of these roots balls that come out of these systems and even though my rail is slightly larger at nearly 5", if I jam the pots on top of each other, then I will likely end up having to throw everything out because I didn't leave enough roof for the roots. So, about how many inches of a 4.75 does each plant need? Assuming 4 inches for the pot, how much on either side do I need to leave room for in the rail? I should probably be very aware of when I start flowering too.
