I'm creating a high pressure system and tonight I tested it. Fail! It would seem that the pump I bought it too powerful or something. The water is coming out at the misters really hot. What I think is that the pump needs more flow then what I am allowing and thus the pump is probably working harder then it needs too and causing the water in the chamber to boil over. I think most industrial aero setups use a tank between the pump and misters so that's what I am going to do unless I hear something better. Hopefully I can get a tank at Lowes rated for 125psi and connect that to a sprinkler solenoid. The pump will need some sort of shut off sensor for when the tank is full. Hopefully this will even out the mister pressure which seems erratic, reduce the water temperature and save the pump some unnecessary work.

What kind of tank and solenoid should I be looking to get? I'm really getting tired of all the trial and error and guess work.

This is my first grow and I got 5 femenized WW seeds that popped from the soil on November 1st. Yesterday (Nov 13th) i woke up and the leaves were drooping, so i transplanted to 3gal pots and watered them and they perked right back up. Are these ready to start giving ferts next watering? When can i FIM these plants so i can maximize the space i have? Unfortunatly I am using miracle grow but with added pearlite and sand, plus i sifted out much of the large mulch chunks. Since it has those time release nutes in it, should i flush the plant with fresh water every week or so?

One of the plants looks different then the rest, and it has since it's first set of leaves. The leaves seem more rounded, also like it is a ifferent strain, i provided two close up pics, one is the oddball and the other is a normal one, whats the deal with this one?

Any answers or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hey All!

I am running the botainicare soil lineup: pure blend pro grow, bloom, liquid karma, aqua shield, cal mag plus, sweet, and silica blast. I have been following their feeding schedule, but I wanted to add a flower booster and finisher so I picked up Bushmaster and Gravity today.
I also have B-1 from home depot, super thrive (only for seedlings), fish emulsion, seabird guano, and mix 5ml/gal of h2o2 in my water. I use mad farmer ph up/down. New soil mix is 1.5parts Fox farms ocean forest soil, 1part light warrior, 1 part pearlite and vermiculite. I put hydroton on top of my soil to weigh it down and I also have some sweet dolamite lime and epsom salts.

- I mix my Botanicare nutes based on the soil chart I have from them (week by week chart).
- I currently only use the fish emulsion if I see a N def
- B-1 anytime I use nutes in both and veg and flower
- Bushmaster as directed when the cycle changes to flowering
- Gravity as directed 3 weeks before harvest.
- I run a soil/water PH of 6.0 for seeds and 6.3 for veg and flower.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve this line-up, revisions, cut back here, step this up there type information I am all ears! My yields have been great, but am looking to dial my nutes in (just added bush master and gravity to push my flowering into over drive).

I am going to get a new PH pen that does TDS too, because when I add gravity I cannot calculate 300ppm of my botanicare line-up and worry that just adding 1/4 of the recommended dose of everything is just guessing.. So I add Gravity by itself like the label says you can do.

Ok, so my questions, any feedback on the line up? Anyone have experience with Bushmaster, Gravity, or Botanicare and care to offer advice? See anything wrong with my process? Additions? Can I take advantage of my other items more?
Let me know! This is my third medical grow and my medicine could definitely benefit from the feedback!!! I am planning on getting some sand to use on top of my soil instead of hydroton.. In my last crop I mixed up subcool's organic mix and didn't have to add any nutes until flowering, but next time I plan on using my new mix and adding their nutes week by week for veg too... Thoughts on this? For or against? Also, when I transplant seedlings or vegetative plants into Fox Farms ocean forest, the plants don't seem to need any nutes for awhile.. So I use plain R/O water with 5ml/gal of H2o2 and 5ml/gal liquid karma, or should I still blast them with something? Maybe just the Silica and sweet?

Thank you all in advance!
Jah bless :rastasmoke:

however...
I'm on my 3rd/4th generation bagseed, currently flowering 3rd (all from a single seed), with a 4th gen rooting as I type.. One clone (3rd gen) deliberately ferted with her moms pollen (2nd gen) about to produce I'm guessing about a hundred seeds.
My question is... at what point am I able to name my ladies??
I'm thinking 4 generations from a single seed, producing a fair amount of meds comes close to the right to call it something??

I think she's down right gorgeous.. no jenna jamieson but gorgeous :D

Comments?? Cheers :)

Hello all,

I haven't posted on this forum in a while... I just finished my first grow. One chocolope plant under a 250W HPS. I will post some pictures later in the week. I am concerned about the possibility that I burned the tops of the buds in the last couple of days before I cut her down. For 2 months I had a box fan blowing into the open wardrobe, and for these last 2 days I made a dumb decision to turn the fan off. In addition to the box fan outside the cab, I had a panasonic whisperfan exhausting the cab, and I left it on thankfully, and I left the doors to the cab open. The ballast is built into the light so it gets hot, and my exhaust fan didn't suck air directly from the light like an air cooled hood or anything. Temperatures with the box fan blowing in were low 70's, so I'm afraid it could have been a bit hotter with no direct air flow to the plant. I had the plant pretty close to the light. When I trimmed after harvest I noticed a few brown tips on some of the small leaves coming out of the buds. these leaf ends would have been trimmed off anyway so none of the good flowers were noticeably affected. But I'm really worried that some potency was lost in the high heat. If you have a plant that has been flowering for 2 months and looking great, could you ruin it by keeping it too close to the light for a day or two? If the THC degraded or anything this mistake is going to haunt me.

Hi ya'll haven't posted in a while. My only connect dried up/ has an attitude problem. So...

Gonna try again (I think). Not worried about quality just want a successful grow to gain experience for the long-haul.

BTW, my buddy grew some of the best shit I've ever had from the seedy brick we always get around here. He did everything right and culled the males and hermies. Wow. Showed what commercial schwag's potential is if the growers bothered to cull the males!

Currently I have a setup with the capacity to place 6 of the 26w cfl's over the plant(s) with a reflector.

Been looking at the 90w LED UFO. Experiencing ENVY. Am I OK with the cfl's I already have for this trial re-run? How much does it affect grow time?

My third question is: how soon can the plant be induced to go into the "flowering stage?"

And a fourth- primarily looking for a 90-120 day turn-around. If I got an oz total out of say 4 plants in that time window my heart would sing... Is it possible?

Thanks in advance!

I plan on vegging for 2.5 months and topping the plants three times (which should give me 8 shoots per plant, right?)

I have seen a few SCROG logs here and there, and I guess my question is "How much should I be expecting from each plant?" My goal is three ounces per plant. Is this reasonable? Is there a way to get more? :)

Please help! Need any advice I can get.
