Early Skunk
Early Skunk is a hybrid of Skunk #1 & Early Pearl. It was created for outdoor growers with a short summer. I love skunk & the influence of the Pearl allows it to finish weeks earlier than Skunk#1. It is easy for beginers to grow in a container on a sunny window seal. It has a good yield with a resistance to mould & fungus.
I orderd the seeds from the internet. They arrived from the Netherlands in 2 weeks.
Here is a pic from the web site.

I had chosen Early Skunk because I have great memories of getting skunk bud in the 80s bags were 4.0 for 30bucks. When I saw the pic of that dank bud I started dreaming about the smell and the high. So I could not resiest.
Lets get ready to plant these puppies...

I have a nice flower bed in my back yard. It is 2' x 6' and about 2.5' deep. It receives about 9 to 10 hours of direct sunlite a day. I live in a farm area in So Cal. This made finding soil easy I went to the nearest produce stand. They sell organtic soil that is ready to go. You can buy a bucket or a truck load at a good price.
On 4-1-06 I planted 6 seeds into my grow area. They all sprouted but 3 of them burned in the sun, 1 was a male that I removed after pollanateing the females. I harvested the 2 plants on 10-15-06. The plants were about 3.5' tall. I dried and cured the buds. Here are some of the pics.

I found 6 seeds for 2007.
2-20-07 I planted the seeds into a growing tray with supersoil. This time I kept them in the house for a week.
All 6 seeds sprouted.

Wait so... The other post was your old grow, and the next post is the early skunk right? You "found" the seeds? Or are you growing something entirely different this time?

On 5-1-07 three are flowering. I don't know why. I am growing outdoors my plants usually don't flower untill August. They are less than two feet tall. Started feeding with a 12-56-6 bloom boost every 10 days.

One of the plants is still in the veg stage. I am feeding her with a 20-20-20 fert every 10 days.

I wish I could grow with the natural sun, those plants look very happy. Nice females up there!

5-15-07 Every thing is doing well.

There are a few yellowing leaves on the bottom of the plants. The tops are looking tasty with lots of clear trichomes growing. The smell is not a strong skunk smell but still pleasent.
I plan on cutting off one of the tops in about 10 days from one of the plants. I have stoped feeding the one I plan on cutting so as not to taste the fert when I smoke the bud. I have a party to attend soon and I would like to bring something special.

5-20-07 one plant is still in veg state and doing well three are flowering.

They are starting to look like the pic from the seed co in the first entery of this log.

They still don't smell like skunk. Does anyone know what will enhance the skunk smell?

Nice grow, Dirty! I love outdoor grows, that's what I've been doing for years, mostly. Those plant shots are better than the seed catalog's! <G>
Funny that the three are in flower so early. What's up with that?

ps With the excellent, but large photos in the page it takes for-fucking-ever to load up with my dial-up isp (that's all I can get here). I even tried to rate the thread and give a little rep but I couldn't until all the page had finish loading.
Sorry about that...

I took a bud from the plant with the seeds. The seeds are dark and popping out.

The bud has lots of clear crystals. Still to early but I can't wait...
