Ok. So I decided not to go to 12/12 directly, minutes before the lights were to go off (12/12) the other night....
Instead, they will be eased into it. The dark period gets 1 hour longer each night. So, when I wake up in the morning and the lights have gone on, I go add another "off" hour onto the timer for the next night.
Tonight (day 39, eve of day 40) they will have 9 hours of darkness. On this schedule, the first "true" day of 12/12 will be day 43. I plan of changing out the MH conv. to the HPS tomorrow night. This works well for a couple of reasons. One, I can clean my cooltube at the same time that I switch bulbs. Two, I watered with 100% h2o two days ago, and I would like to feed with a "flowering solution" of nutes just before/at 12/12. Third, I needed to trim some fan leaves! I did some good pruning to help airflow and eliminate leaves that weren't getting any light. ( Taking more energy, than making with photosynthesis.) Also, the stress from pruning should be minimized with the gradual time change.

You are going to love this weed so much...the aroma and taste when it is cured is my all around favorite, bar none.
Happy growing!

yeah this will be cool to see how our respective grows turn out. i'll put up some pics when i have some free time later this week and let you know so you can check er out. i guess we differ that i jump head first into 12/12.
DOT52 if cooled properly it can sit an inch or two from the top of your canopy. even touching the tube won't be bad.

Days 38-44 (Day 44 = Day 2 Flowering)
A bit of pruning and low humidity halted growth for a couple of days, things are looking a bit better now. I hope they didn't stress out too bad.
I'm just waiting for the buds to start now!
Last nights feeding was:
- 5 mL Grow Big
- 7.5 mL Tiger Bloom
- 10 mL Liquid Karma
- 30 mL Big Bloom
*to 1 gal. of distilled water

Thanks mowie! The smell has just started actually; very faint. In all honesty though, I can't smell all that well as it is. My brother has confirmed though, "They are starting to smell like weed!" - lol. I plan on adding a tbsp. of molasses into the mix soon.

Updates: Buds have started to form!
I've been agonizing lately about my pruning. This was my first time LST'ing and pruning a significant amount of undergrowth. I waited too long to start actually (properly) pruning, starting 1 week into flower, and is lasted about a week. (to minimize stress, pruned every other day.) I am convinced that this reduced my overall yield, but I am not nearly experienced enough with growing, let alone this particular strain, to determine my approx. loss in yield. Maybe I am just being too critical though....
Other C99 grow logs show me that my ladies look to be about a day or two "behind" compared to the other C99 forming buds, (on the corresponding days) so I am just wondering will this bit of stress this early in flower have a huge or small impact on yield? Especially considering C99 has such a fast flowering period. ...?

Wow Norkali, the plants look awesome...
Don't worry,i think you will have a big yield...
But maybe you should pick a few bigger fan leafs, so the lower buds
get a lil' more light(but this is just my opinion)....
Keep up the good work buddy , and keep us posted....good luck...

Day 62 (Day 20 Flowering)
I got an actual pH meter finally!
Nutrient mix was adjusted to 6.5 going in and the runoff ended up at 5.9
I need to flush. The next feeding is already set for 100% h2o. The ladies typically share 2 gallons of water between the 4 of them, a half gallon each. Now, I just need to know how much to water it, and what is the best water to flush with.
I have both distilled and R/O water. I was thinking about flushing with 2 gallons of water (1 gal. distilled, 1 gal. R/O) to each pot. (pots are 5 gal.) Should I add all of the 2 gal. at once? Over an hour? A couple hours? I have a feeling that flooding a plant like that would do more harm than good. BUT, I don't know shit about this, I have never flushed before.
What about the pH of the water? where should I aim for going in? 7.1, to even the 5.9 out to 6.5? Or pH starting @ 6.5? Also, I've heard that R/O can be harmful to soil by leaching out the nutrients due to it's "0 qualities" Or was that hydro?
Either way....I need some help.
Some pic's to enjoy:
