Wow my seeds are not sprouting that high at all, i wonder why. One has seemed to open up and has 4 leaves but isnt more than 1/2 inch tall.

yea i dont kno nosaj. 6 of mine are big bud, so im hoping it is part of their strains characteristics. Its either that or stretching, i think im going to lower my 400w CMH tonight, its is currently at 4' over the plants. I think mine stretched b/c i had them on my kitchen counter top for the firts day they sprouted out of the ground, so it strectched toward the ceiling light  I think it will still be ok for them to be that long at this age. Wont it??

Wow, ok so i get back from class tonight at 9 to find my loset completely dark, as in lights out and exaust fan turned off. It is starnge tho because they are both on the same digital timer which was still on, it son batteries so its always on. Also the room fan was still on which goes to the same extension cord as my light ans exaust..... hopefully this does not happen again.

looks like those seedlings are stretching out pretty badly. Lower those lights (or raise the cups) so that the plants are no more than 2 inches away from the lights. Don't want them to stretch too much or they'll flop over.

i dont think 2" with the 400 MH isnt gonna work. im pretty sure it will fry those little guys. Yea the lights r 45" away right now, i am trying to move them clsoser and closer gradually, since they r still so young.

He means the CFL's. Not the MH. The MH needs be be a couple feet away at first.

Days 4-5
Over the oast 2 days i have lowered the lights from about 4' all the way to 2'. The reason for the hasty move was that my young plants (4 days) had already stretched alot and they were starting to look a lil wobly. I thought that this quick adjustment would stress the young plants, but i think they are taking it pretty good. I also put my 2 day old plant under the light and im pretty sure it likes it. Umm... what else, I watered the garden, used about 1 tsp/gal for all plants except, the ind/sat baby who got only Ph'd water. 
Hey does anybody have any idea why my perlite in the cups is turning a yellow tint?
Pic 1 - This is a pic from about 10 pm on day 4.
Pic 2-5 are from about 10 minutes ago.
2 - chron seed front, BB3 back (already 2.75" high)
3 - trying to show the stretch, u can see BB1 (middle) has got a lil swivel in its stem.
4 - Lights are 2' up.
5 - Overhead view of garden, w/ heights.

I leave my oscillating fan on at night time when the lights are out in the cab. Does anybody know if this is bad for the young plants, like if they r supposed to rest and be still to recharge at night?? Or can i keep on doing this.

i just close my fan in the night, i dont think it really matters if its on or off.. bring the lights down 10cm every day IMO.

hey, clear plastic cups actually seem like a good idea if you wrap them in something thick (duct tape?). Besides, light would only get to the roots on the sides of the cup. You guys agree or am I taking crazy pills?

Ummm i guess that would work, lol. I dont see why u dont just buy dark party cups instead tho, seems like it would be easier than wrapping all my cups in tape. Wasnt that kinda far back in the thread tho??? haha I forgot all about the clear cups argument.

I am pretty sure that I am the Man, today at least. I put together a DIY cooltube, using a hurricane glass. Its not done yet, i still need to get a exaust fan for the rig, and thats about all. Its not really part of my BB gro, but it has to do with it so here u go. Please let me kno what u all think about my project.

pic4 idea of where the duct goes to. i was thinking of putting the exaust fan between those 2 pieces of duct. and im only getting a small inline fan maybee 80 cfm, no huge fans that could be mounted on the back of an everglades boat. KRRRIIIIIKKKKYYYY.
Does anyone have advice on where the exaust fan should be installed in the line of cooltubes and exaust duct. ie - after the cooltube, at the wall were the duct evacuates the room??

Thanks Zeb   . Not sure about the transplant, they are ready whenever. I plan on putting them in 1 gallons which i already have, for the veg, and i was thinking 3-5 gallon for flowering, i have to go pot shopping tho to see sizes, but that is down the road. I was thinking of putting them in my 1 gal's anywhere from 1-3 days from now. Any suggestions?

I think you should only do 1 transplanting ,cuz its causes stress to yo lil'babygirls... put em in 3-5 gallon pot's

Zeb, I consider myself a newb, only second gro like the thread suggests, and i have read about transplanting causing stress, u are right. But the thing is, my area only allows for 8 1gal pots or about 4 5gal pots, so what i am doing is veg'ing 8 plants. Hopefully after sexing i will have at least 4 females, law of averages. etc etc. This is when i will go to the 5 gal's and ditch the boys. U r right but i have other plans

Haha, yep it was a bit back in the thread. A nostalgic little post. BUT just wrap it in something you can peel back if you wanna check out the roots every now and then. I'm totally going to use clear cups.

Good progress
I have now had my cooltube installed for a whole day . I cannot believe how much it is helping out, it has already brought the daytime temps from around 87-88F down to about 80F, and i dont even have an active exaust fan going yet . Hopefully after i get my inline i will be temp problem free. I also have to cleane the cooltube tomoro, since i got it kind of dirty and smudged up tofay, when i was putting it together.

Thanks afghooey, I appreciate that. Yea, I had seen some DIY cooltubes online but none of them were detailed enough for me. So I kind of just bought a bunch of stuff and put it together. I wasnt really sure what i was doing, but i think it worked out good. I still have to locate a fan for it tho.
Ill have some updated closeups tomoro
