im very curious also! after christmas, i should have more plants going at once, hopefully wtih a mother in soil that i can take some clones from...this is my first grow, just seeing what it takes, if my system works, and if i can even grow where i live without legal troubles...so far things are going GREAT! I really would be very very happy with an ounce, anything more would be fucking out of this world! Going to be an amazing christmas/new year if this is a female!

Well let me start off by saying im not a growing expert or hydro expert but I thought brown spots and yellowing leafs indicated nutrient deficiencies(calcium and iron) which if I remember right are secondary nutrients... I know with soil grows that can be caused by PH being to high(alkaline) so might wanna looking that(if you have not already done so)...

my pH was close to 7 the other day, but i dropped it to mid 5's earlier yesterday, and its stayed right at about 6....so yea should be alright, but ill check some reading material and see if those are nutrient deficiencies...if anything, i thought i was over feeding

so some more crazy new growth, day 5-6ish of flowering...i think ive spotted some potential flowers at the 3rd node up! Its a tiny tiny little tear drop shaped ball with a tiny hair sticking out...i'm hoping its female, but its not quite big enough to take a good pic yet or at least for my picture taking skills..hopefully by tomorrow or sunday, we shall know!

day 6 of flowering...still no definite signs of sex yet...plant is growing great though..so far i count 8 total potential bud sites..hopefully some more will squeeze out through the stretch before she starts to mature...it shall be interesting to see if i can finish this plant..i have company coming in to town dec 18th..thats 3 days short of 8 weeks from when i started flowering...so im gonna have to figure something out...
I read a few times, you can leave the plant in total darkness for 48 hours-ish for the end of its life as a shock method to promote resin formation...is this true?

ok anger and sadness over...pulled the plant, stared at its beauty for a while and then tossed it...so after christmas, new grow!! hopefully ill get a female and take me some good clones! oh well..until next time!

what a waste!
Dude why did you waste it like that? My first grow gave me 2 males about 30" tall. They magically transformed into an amazing batch of about 12 decently potent cookies. The 1 male from the following grow (32") gave me the same batch but half as strong. You could also get some hash oil out of the deal if you want.

nah, i think it would be a waste to run a 400W light for 8-9 weeks just to flower a male. think about the money you spend on electricity - you could just use that money to buy a bag of weed! FEMALE weed!
