Blue Russians invade flower room
Blue Russian bagseedbeans from a very nice friend.
Germed and veg'd under day/blue 26/100 cfl's for 10 weeks 18/6 wth 2 tippings.
1 week healing and 1 week growth recovery time for each tipping. Thats why its 10 weeks.
Theoretically, this would be the 6th week of veg when u subtract the tipping time.
decent MG soil mix cut with plain n perlite
superthrived water
FF Grow Big
lotsa love
they are approx 1-1.5 ft tall, before getting tied down.
LST'd the taller shoots when they moved to veg.
sprayed with Reverse, just in case.
now under 250 HPS 12-12
week 11 Thai clones in the backround.
if the fates allow, all these should finish in about 5 or 6 weeks.

Damn Rock those look REALLY NICE! Short and bushy.....that's got to be your lighting. What are you vegging things under these days? I know you have that nice hps for flowering. What are you using for veg? It sure worked nicely on those.

When you say tipping, I take it you mean topping. You got some very nice branching going on there. Next round concider only doing LST save the recovery time with similar results. Also consider getting more cfl's or even a MH lamp for veg you will get better results.
All in all good work using what you have

tipping, topping, yes, i mean i snipped em to get em to split.
i actually try to FIMM, and there are a few spots where it did split more than once as i intended.
also, i had thought about it and i am pretty sure i get more budsites when they split. i dont mind the extra week or 2. my first grow was thai, so im getting used to waiting.
also, my main reason for the topping is that i want them low and bushy.
my setup doesnt allow for maniacal verticle growth.
my veg box is small, MH is out of the question.
and i've been trying to scale down my power useage.
so thats why only a few cfl's.
the HPS is 1st priority.

Ok, if it works for you than stick with it, I see your concerns and they are good ones. I still would concider adding a cfl or 2, they look like they would bennifit from a little more light in the veg stage IMO.

I like the way they look but hadn't really considered that they were already lst'd. Jerry, Rock is married to those cfls....he's even had their grandkids over....a family of 12 at one point. It took a LONG time to seperate him from them for the hps so you have to go slow.....he's a stubborn curmudgeon.

Well at least he has the hps and knows how to maximize his grow with what he has! that is the most important part.

yeah Jerry, still tryin to figure out what is optimal
Houndie, yer funnnny
but, ur rite,
once upon a time, there was 12 cfls on 3 girls,
12x26=312w
wow
now
1 250w hps on 5 girls
but, ya gotta admit, the cfl's do get decent veg results
these leveled off nice.
they were 1-1.5 ft straight.
the sticks in back are about 1.5ft
lite is about 18-24 in away.
fan on with lite.
i think they'll make ya proud auntie WH

Oh I think they look GREAT and now you will see some good growing and buds with that hps. You vegged them longer which will make a difference too. Can't wait to see those puppies in a few weeks. They won't be like your skimpy, slow-ass thais who DEIGN to give you a few buds here and there...

ironically, i think everyone will finish together.
5 weeks from now is week 16-17 for the clones
Betty was 16 weeks and coulda benefitted from another 1 or 2.
so, about 6 weeks for the russins to go nutty.
and same for the clones to finish...
should be an amazing february.
