ive been doing what i do for almost 5 years stright now both indoors and outdoors and like everyonelse (i think) ive made a few connections in the hydro industry including contacts at PROCYON and PINETREE to discuss venture money on both projects. what i dont get is why i cant just BUY one off the net.
one companys product isnt ready for market but theirs will not only have a variable power supply but a modular system to allow 120 190 and 260w arrays to be used relacing 400-600 and 1000W HIDS. the other COMPANY did need to raise capitol to produce its next run of only 500 units.
now ive called no less that 25 large hydro supply distribuators across the US and spent many hours online (which produced only ONE result on EBAY...LOL) to obtain a few of the PROCYONS (pronounced PRO-CEE-ON) to no avail but for some reson i see - what - 6 of these in the grow posted.
so im wondering how did we get so fortunate as to be the only ones able to see these lights on this forum? and how come NO ONELSE on other cannabis boards (other than GREENPINE who is marketing a horitcultural LED as well) or hydro supply board was able to do the same thing. are we so vastly superior in our collective intelligence that those posting here are the only ones who have endevored to determine the feasability of these "unique" and hard to obtain lights??

lol ziggy...we got our 3 out of the very first run....had them on reserve for 2 months...and we are having trouble getting additional lights, i also wonder.....where are the rest? are we the only ones who bought these lights for ganja? or just the only ones posting..seems strange to me as well...
not sure if your insinuating, but i dont work for procyon or home grown lights....just fortunate enought to get the first bunch, and honestly, I think we are a big reason they are sold out now...I am sure we generated quite a bit of sales for them...(looking up to see a free light fall in my lap...)
not sure if i covered what you were getting at or not...alas, I am but a stoner

Use of LEDs
I also grow with LEDs. I use the relatively cheap panels that some people say are weak. I agree in a small part because plants didn't stretch but didn't grow very fast, slowley in fact. Well I built panels with both LEDs and spiral Flcs and man have my plants taken off, I'm amazed at fast they grow . I tried posting some pics but after trying four formats that didn't work I gave up. Anybody know the format and size limits used here? I tried IM, Direct Link, HTML Code and IMG Code. I'm stumped .....Low

LowkonXC, You wont be able to post picks at the moment, you will have to make 50 posts before you can post picks.

LEDs
i myself am considering purchasing a procyon 100. instead of a hydrafarm 400hps contained ballest unit. it just makes sense. i have heard about this thing successfully growing buds but are they potent and tighter compared to their hps hd counterparts.... i was considering a CFL operation 2 125w CFL grow bulbs at 5000k, but it is toooooo fuckin hot for my enclosure. i am doing a 2 45 gallon Stertlite storage countainer grow op (like a turtle shell. self contained with an earthbox set up in the bottom, 2 24inch 17w Sunlight Floros velcrod' to the bottom sides (for easy aseembly and dissassembly as needed) as well as 2 15inch sunlights for bottom foilage. I just think that the procyon could possible provide a more temperate environment than the latter considering space. what do you guys think?
o yeah a 4inch can fan and odor sock, will this be suffiecient? for containing and eliminating odors?

size of grow area? I think you got plenty o light with that set-up....We have 3x3 per procyon, and get the results you see below...There will be less smell, less heat, less electricity...more resin, blah blah...
