I hope the bubble cloner works??!?! my first time using one of these an supposedly they work really good for cloning. so far no roots or root nubs. i lowered the water level so the bubbles arent popping so close to the lid, because my lid was dripping a lil outside.

UPDATE!! I have officially run out of growing space. so much so that my hashberry is getting burned on the tips

on the good side, I started building my cab but its going slow or should i say Im pacing myself. I hope to be all finished up by the weekend and have the girls in there with more space.

oh yeah almost forgot, add one more female to the bunch. my HGS has shown female preflowers and is the 6th of 7 plants only got the grapevine X lavender left to sex.

my clones are still alive with no yellowing at all but also no roots only some tiny root nubs starting. maybe in another couple days roots will get longer.

time to start working on the cab again.

Cab is just about finished. Need to hang one more door on it and its pretty much done. Other things I still need to do (not listed in order)
1-cut passive intakes for veg and flower
2-cut exhaust for blower
3-install CFLs, HPS, and blower
4-hang mylar
5-run wiring in cab

Ok as for the girls they are doin great just need a new home already. I do have a lil problem though. I have them on 19/5 and they all have preflowers, and they keep making more. I dont want to flower until I have a few clones of each to make moms. Why are they still making preflowers under 19/5?? Should I put them under 24/0 to keep them vegging??

My bubble cloner is acting up and not making bubbles like its supposed to. If I cant get it working good I may try making a aero cloner or go back to rockwool/peat pucks. Any suggestions on a good cloning method? I need to take cut clones ASAP.

So instead of rushing and possibly messing something up on my cab. I redid my closet for temporary use. basically set it back up the way I had it for my previous grows.

Took cuttings while I did my closet. Two from every plant, all put in rockwool and under a dome. Added two more cuttings to my bubble cloner and its back to making bubbles like its supposed to. Over night I got roots on my older cuttings that were just doing ok, I think its due to me moving them with the rest of the group.

I keep forgetting to take pics of the cab so when its done, thats when Ill post them. I was gonna finish up to night but all I got to do was move it to its base. Thankfully I had some friends over today to give me a hand. Now that its on the base I can cut the intakes on the floor. Then cut the exhaust and check for negative pressure.

I wanted to make some sort of custom locking mechanism for the doors, but just cant think of how to start or where to begin. So any loggers that might be able to shed some light on the subject please do. I was checking google but didnt find anything I liked or that fit the project.

Those plants are beautiful man, can't wait to see them in the new cab...

i hope those cuts gonna root soon...if you are looking for a new cloning method, i saw Stinky and a few others using rapidrooters, they seem to work real nice....

I hope my cuttings root soon too. RapidRooters will be my next method to try out. Stinky makes it look all to easy cloning with those. My next time at the hydro shop Ill pick up some rapidrooters and some new FF grow big.

Is anyone else using fox farms Grow big and the N-P-K is 3-2-6? On the FF feeding chart it says its N-P-K is 6-4-4. So do I have a older formula or something?

just a lil update on the cloner. So it seems they really like it better with the rest of the group. Only one clone has roots but hopefully now that I have a better grip on things the rest will root soon. I raised the water about a inch from the top of the bubble cloner and added a small air hole to prevent the lid from popping off LOL

. Now to see what roots faster the bubbler or the rockwool.

There are 2 different Grow Bigs, one is for hydro, the other is for soil. Green Lable is for soil, Aqua Lable is for hydro.

I know carpentry, when you say locking mechinizim what do you mean? Are you looking for stelth, security, artistic, all or none of the listed?

Just give me an idea of what your looking for and hopefully I can point you in the right direction.

awwwww crap I got the hydro one LOL. but I think they only had this one anyway when i bought it. gonna order some supplies so maybe ill re-up on nutes also. thanks for the info on the differences

As for the locking mechanism......hmmmmmmmmmm. I kinda was looking for a door lock type thats stealthy so noone will know how to open the doors. a trick door i guess? plus I have padlocks on each door at the top for extra security. im gonna check out some magic stuff on trap doors for ideas. any help would be great.

So here it is, not quite fully finished but just about there. Still need to cut the exhaust hole since I forgot to do that tonight

then check for negative pressure. After the venting is all handled correctly, I plan to do all the wiring for the remote ballasts and mock it up in the cab with cooltube. I already did the lighting for the veg cab, which is currently in use in my closet and I may add 2 more 15w floro tubes for a lil extra side lighting. If your wondering about a carbon scrubber, I dont have a need for them at all as my entire household smokes. Though I might make one if my girls start to really stink up alot. I already have a design conjured up in my head for when i need it.

If anyone has any questions regarding my cab fire away. I also alreay have ideas for a new and improved cab even though I literally just finished the first one tonight. over the next couple weeks Ill be running tests in the cab before actually growing in it. "Dont wanna commit my girls to a cab that cant handle them, you know what I mean".

oh yeah my one clone with roots is doing great. It now has about four 2-3 inch roots growing strong. I plan on using it in a DWC bucket I made to experiment with the hydro scene.

Today I cut the exhaust hole for the cab and hooked up my blower with 4" ducting. Gonna let it run over night to break it in. I hope to get my two 150s in the cooltube and running so I can get some temperature readings. At first I was gonna mount the ballasts in the cab next to the blower but I changed my mind and decided to mount them outside on the top of my cab. I figure the less heat sources in the cab the better.

I setup my DWC bucket and got it running with 2 kalimist clones in a 4" net pot. Both clones had a bunch of 4-6" roots nice and white. It holds around 1 1/2 gallons of water, then added 2tsp grow big, 3 drops of super thrive, then pH'd to 5.8 (only needed a couple drops of ph down). This is my first time trying hydro growing so I hope I do alright. Am I doing this right so far??

No I didnt bail on you guys, if thats what anyone was thinking. Just figured no one really wants to see vegging plants so I held off til now, plus I finished my cab

. Im not gonna get into any details here but start a new log for this cab. I hope everyone migrates over to that once I get it started, its gonna be a full cab for me from now on so stay posted.
