So its time to start off on another grow since my reveg failed LOL. This time I have a Kali Mist sprout, my homegrown seed from the last harvest, and a really old bagseed i had that germed. ill be doing more seeds soon since my buddy hooked me up with some hashberry, hindu kush, and some purple bagseed.

I have them in solo cups under a 26w 6700k cfl each, though i can put up to 7 bulbs if need be. two pc exhaust fans and 3 1inch passive intake holes. I have a plexiglass "heat shield" to help vent hotter air and it actually works. cab dimensions are 11" x 20" x 29" but im only using the top half. i may end up putting lights on the bottom half for the clones/moms for max grow space.

germed them about 2 weeks ago and they sprouted a couple days later. I used peat pucks for the homegrown and kali mist and tryed out a rockwool cube on the old bagseed. the kali mist was the last to sprout but growing nice and quick compared to the first to sprout (old bagseed) which is growing slowly. I hope to make them all bonsai moms if they turn out female or at least get some good pollen if they end up boys.

watering every couple days with half strength FF grow big. ordered some superthrive so ill be adding that every once in a while along with molasses.

So far you are on the way to a good grow, you have everything in place and done correctly so far.

With your cabinet dimensions what is your hieght? 29''

yeah my reveg was coming along and then it just crapped out on me. but like you said it was a good learning experience plus my ma got a kick out it since it actually grew back. my problem was the soil wasnt cutting it so i had to make it more loose and better draining. cab dimensions are 11"deep x 20"wide x 29"high i was also thinking of turning it on its side to make it 29" wide but im still thinking about that.

I would keep it 29'' high you may need that 9'' down the road

Can you make a smaller box for vegging? so when you weed out the males or harvest a plant, you have another plant ready to go in the flower box. Just something to think about.

i got another rubbermaid bin i used to veg my clones but this is my new veg cab. i have a flower cab(old armoire) in the works that will be using 2 150HPS in a cooltube so that should be ready in time for flowering. I have all the parts for it just need to put it all together and make sure its light proof and has good ventilation. its big enough to grow 6-8 3 foot plants with a lil extra space.

To start things off Ive been germinating all week with whatever seed i had ranging from really old bagseed to some fresher bagseed to some known strains. so far the bagseed had some pop but most were to old and got tossed. got 2 more KaliMist and they both sprouted along with an ObS(old bagseed). i went all rockwool for sprouting these seeds instead of peat pucks like normally, and like the results alot better. was digging around in my garage and found a tupperware that fits nicely in a ziploc container. initially i was gonna use it for a wick cloner but ended up using it as a humidity dome for my seeds to sprout.

my humidity was getting low so i just filled a container with some water and threw in a bubble ring. i have it bubbling 24/7 and now my humidity is about 5-10% higher. been watering every 3 days with FF grow big and they got some superthrive on one of the waterings. not much happening with the 3 vegging i think they're about 16-18 days old but they look a lil small to me. although it could just be that i havent done seeds in a while and im tripping. anyone else think they're small??

i started clearing out my flowering area but it still needs alot of work. my cab needs a new back and top so it can handle the extra weight of the blower and lights. gonna pick up some 1/4" and 1/2" ply for that. then i can actually start working on the cab itself like mounting my cooltube, blower, ballasts. but thats down the road, i still need to clean that whole area before moving my cab there and leveling it.

ok lets see some comments/critique/tips im always looking to improve my growing.

did a lil remodeling to my cab to fit more plants but its still gonna end up to small (i think). added a weak intake fan and its helping the temps to lower a bit. tonight i transfered the older 3 to 1 gallon pots. this will be the final pot size til i know theyre female. any males will be put outdoors hopefully to finish off for pollen collection.

some pics of how i transplant.

1-put some perlite on the bottom of pot for better drainage.
2-fill about halfway with potting mix.
3-place old pot with plant into new pot.
4-backfill around old pot to the top.
5-remove old pot and sprinkle cloning powder in pot hole.
6-remove plant from old pot and place into fresh new pot.
7-water lightly to get everything happy.

~quick update~

Removed a couple seedlings since they weren't doing so great. All were bagseed (2 purple and one older type). Still have all the kali mist and hashberry

thankfully. For some reason those purple bagseeds arent doing all that great, they get the same treatment as the rest but just dont seem to make it past a week or two.

Did a flush on all of them today with 6.5 pH water and 2 tsp per gallon of hydrogen peroxide(h2o2). I think the h2o2 really helped the roots out cause they all perked up and weren't all droopy. The runoff was 6.5 pH

on all of them so I let them set for a lil bit and drain off all excess water. Mixed up some tiger bloom and a couple drops of superthrive for a last flush. Needed the extra "P" from the tiger bloom to hopefully remedy a lil "P" deficiency.

Looking good, I like how I like how you are watering now

One thing is I never read or heard of using cloaning powder when transplanting. Seems like overkill to me. I just keep it simple and risks to a minimum. I take the low road on nutes and only increase if a difficancy appears. I look at it this way, if you take the high road you run a real risk of root burn or nute lock along the entire grow. I am not saying you are doing that but just my 2 cents of advice.

zeb: nah, my last grow got used up not to long ago. was fun while it lasted

JG: I forget where i saw it, but i read someones growlog and they transplanted like that so I tried it out. Dont really need the extra rooting powder, although I think it did help the roots a lil bit on one of the plants. oh yeah JG, how often do you flush your plants? got that h2o2 tip from your growlog, so thanks for that

When I water it is as close to flush as you can get with both nuted water and plane water.

I use my bath tub and pour enough untill it flows out the drain holes steadily, then let sit for 20 to 30 min to drain any excess water. Then place back in box untill the bucket feels light again.

This prevents any nute build up and flushes away any salts.

things are growing good nowadays thankfully. I fimmed all three older plants at the sixth node and they're growing great. the 4 seedlings looked hungry so they got a sample of some grow big (just a lil) and seemed to enjoy it. not much else happening yet, thought they did just start to get some smell. its only that green grass kinda smell but its still better that nothing.

Awesome. I was contemplating growing some kali mist for my next grow since I like a more sativa type smoke.

I'll be watching this thread to see how it comes along.

daihashi: Im not 100% positive that its really kalimist. My sis had some kalimist and she always has the craziest luck. Well this time was no different as she was graced with just about 5-6 perfect seeds in a ounce, and since she dont grow anymore I got them all

. I looked up as many different kalimist grows as I could find and although they look similar, mine look to be part indica possibly which leads me to my hypothesis of them not being real kalimist

Since I didnt update on wednesday like I wanted to Ill do it now. Not much to write about except for pic 1 which speaks for itself. At first it was looking like a male then the next day "BAM" white hairs emerged. I was so relived to see those hairs, especially since I was gonna put her outside if she turned out male. Its the old bagseed most likely a sativa with its longer thinner leaves and hasnt really produced any branching like KM1 or HbS (pic 3). I started to LST the bigger 3 plants. Im gonna try to do different growing styles with the kalimist1,2,3. KM1 will be fimmed and LST, KM2 will grow normally, and KM3 will be suppercropped or maybe individual scrog. We'll see when the time comes I may just lst them all since Im most comfortable with it.

As you can see in pic 2 I bought some building materials and will be constructing my cab throughout this weekend. It will be 4 feet wide 2 feet deep and 4 feet high. The interior will have 3 separate areas flower, veg, and a utility box. Will be running 2 150hps in a DIY cooltube for flowering and the veg cab will be using my current cfl rig. All ballasts and wiring will be in the utility box along with the blower. If you ever heard of a NGB cab this will be one of those, just using soil instead of SWC hydro. All the materials cost me $135 but I need to get different hinges and some paint maybe. I already have the lights, blower, and most important the plants. Just need to build it and put them in they're new home

The last pic is of the baby my Grapevine X Lavender. I count the days from when the cotyledons break the surface and on this one they broke on the 8th making it just under 2 weeks with 4 nodes. So far this has been the best grower out of them all. Nice steady growth with big leaves and strong roots.

Id love to have some comments/opinons on my growing methods, so good or bad lets hear it. well maybe not the bad LOL
