Zeb's Guerrilla Campaign 08
Welcome my happy weed smoking friends to my outdoor grow 2008...
This will be a great year for all of us, i hope....i gonna upload tons of pix, gonna try to share my experience and my knowledge of more than 10 years of outdoor growing....this is what i know and love, not the indoor growing(which is also a great fun)....
I have multiple spots, where i gonna grow our beloved plant...
This years strain is TH seeds The HOG X Herbaria's Shiva's Joy...both are indicas...These seed have been crossed here locally, so they are acclimatized to this region...
I'm hoping to get other seeds too, but it's not 100%...
We have real warm summers, so it will be a difficult thing to water the plants...hoping for rain too, but it's more likely that it will have a drought...
I'm gonna upload the first pix soon...
So, let the games begin....

Criminy, it's darn nasty, wintery today. My new 120 gallon composter blew away and got pretty busted up. I can't wait to grow outdoors, though it appears that Spring may never get here. Right from Winter to Summer again. Well, at least I can get some new ideas here I'll be able to put them to use this season.
So, let's go!

Thinking of doing the same. Lost of places around here. Zeb, what do you think about putting 1 in a 10 gal bucket painted like tree bark and lifted to the top of a big tree and left in the canopy? access is a problem due to having to climb a tree but I could check it a few times. Just a though. figured 10 gal for a mostly sativa would be enough

Well it's a good idea, but it won't work...the problem is that in summer the soil in the bucket gonna get dry real fast...and to climb a tree every 1-2 day's is not good, plus the water is heavy too...
Other thing is when its warm, the roots get cooked easily when sun shines on the bucket....it's more easy to simply put the plants in th ground....
Shov...sorry to hear about your composter....we have gr8 weather here atlast, everything is flowering, birds are singing...i love it....

I see what you mean. Climbing an oak tree all summer is not my idea of a good time although I do like to climb trees from time to time, just not with buckets of water. The weather is warm here too and i doubt we will have a frost again. How many times should you visit your plant? I have about 200 seeds from a hermied plant I got. Is it true that a large % of those are in fact female? I guess I would need to check them later to get rid of the males.

Zeb,
10 years experience, now I know who to ask questions
First one- Is it true when starting and veging a plant indoors under 24/0 and do an entire veg. Then place the plant outdoors any time of the season it will start flowering immediately therefore making possiable multiple harvests thru out the season?
I have read about this and I am planning to use this therory this summer.

Well i don't know if this would work Jerry...i only heard that if you put a flowering plant out in spring it won't reveg, and you can harvest it before summer, but i never seen anybody actually try this method, nor did i tried any of these methods myself...
I don't believe that a 24/0 veg plant would start to flower when you put it out, i think it would start to flower only in the end of summer...but you can never know until you try it, maybe it could work...
About that 10 years...well yeah i started to grow back in 97, but you shouldn't think that i know it all....i really have a lot to learn, and i often forget good old methods and useful things, and rediscover them later...but if you or anyone has a question i will try to help...
JeffersonBud....you should visit as often as you can....i usually visit my plant 1-2 times a week...watering is very important...and during harvest time i like to check my plant more often if they are ripe, or is there any sign of mold....

Thanks for your insite on my question.
Well I still figur I will give it a go and just keep placing cloans all over the countryside this summer and see what happens. I will start a log soon on my experience's.
Looks like my first ones will go out in mid May and if they don't start flowering they are going to be giants by October.

Some pix...my little BT's seem to feel good, growing nicely...
I realized recently that i never had pure indica plants, just hybrids and sativas. The truth is i am not that big indica fan, but i hope this gonna change. So this will be kind of a new experience, i'm real exited how they gonna look, smell , taste...the breeder of the BT said that it's an uniform strain...

Update
The plants are 20 days old, i have transplanted them into bigger pots 5 days ago...
I think they are almost ready, gonna start to plant them out soon...
We had lots of rain recently, so i couldn't go out because of the mud, that why i'm little behind whit the work, but so far i have 3-3 holes prepared....

Here are the first pix of the plants in nature....i have planted out 8 of them, 1 week ago...2 have been already eaten....but it's no problem, i have other plants in reserve....
I wanted to water my plants today, but i found a dead deer (Capreolus capreolus) in the water....have to get water from elsewhere...it was disgusting, so i took a pic of it...
In the last pic you can see one of the worst enemy of a ganja grower...The European Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus)....this one was a very tame individual....

Settling in
plants are happy there it seems.
we are almost ready to plant., I've been sowing seeds by the hundreds everywhere I go. I've been ridding myself of old stashes of seeds, (none older than three years).

For deer repellent?? A shotgun....
There is not much i can do, don't want to use any repellent chemicals, so i think i gonna hang a few stinky socks around the plants, so they can smell the angry human, and run away...
The truth is that i can do what i want, but if the deer wants eat the plant, nothing can stop it...my personal favorite is when they antler starts to throw its skin and they rub it nicely in the flowering plants the ease the itching.....love it...

It seems my last post has disappeared and it's not coming back, so i try again...
The plants look nice and happy, i gave them some grow nutes...
It's a pita to visit the plants, the whole area has become a jungle, huge swarms of mosquito's and ticks everywhere...
But at least they are safe, i think....
