i watered the soil with that organic insecticide/funguside.....havent seen ANY....but will add some to the next watering along with nutes and cal-mag....dont worry WH, I promise to check Ph of this mix before add ing

guess I was thrown off cause there were no signs o bugs on the plant itself...could these gnats/whiteflies be whats causing the yellowing on some of these still? and the veg growth has definitely slowed down it seems.....one of the SNLxNH didnt make it outta the funk

WH, crispi...you guys ever have any issues with the SNLxNH? knurled leaves or anything? seems those and the church cant shake this yellowing....all the others have come out of it...

Hi,

Have you tried Gnatrol? Its made from bacillus thuringiensis bacteria which is suppose to be safe and non toxic I have used it in the past and it worked for me.

If you had whitefly, it would be readily appearant.
Shake the plant and stand back. They are much bigger dan gnats and they fly erratically, like moths

I'd be willing to bet that the church is in this brand of trouble.
FUNGUS GNAT chirruns!

A single dose of insecticide will not work!
Here is what you are up against;
Life Cycle

Females live about a week and lay 30 to 120 eggs singly or in batches of up to 30 on the soil. Eggs hatch in 4 to 7 days (Steffan 1966). Larval development requires about 8 to 20 days, depending upon temperatures. The resting pupal stage lasts about 3 to 5 days and is located near the soil surface.

Adult flies do not damage plants directly, but are objectionable to consumers and cannot be tolerated on potted plants in hospitals, grocery stores, or florist shops. Adults can emerge from immature forms after sale even when none were evident earlier. Larvae feed on decaying matter and on healthy and diseased roots in the soil medium. They can be particularly damaging to seedlings and other small plants. Damaged roots provide conditions for root diseases, further complicating fungus gnat management and crop health.

Found this to be interesting.

Many indoor gardeners can live with even this relatively minor threat to the health of their plants. But now, after reassuring growers for years that the gnats were largely a cosmetic problem, researchers have found the threat doesn't end there. In a recent breakthrough, Harris has shown that both fungus gnat larvae and adults occasionally transmit a variety of diseases. She's proved they spread black root rot and Pythium wilt and suspects they transmit many other fungal pathogens as well. It's akin to discovering dust miites carry the common cold.

Simply take advantage of the fungus gnat larvae's preference for the upper soil layers and add a half-inch layer of sand to the tops of their bulb pots. "It really works," says Steward. "The eggs probably dried out, or perhaps the adults couldn't emerge."

Sounds like a good idea, after a larvacide, of course.

I think the yellowing your getting is from wattering with only watter every other time. IMO you should be useing aroung 1/2 strength of nut every time you watter. Again that's just my 2 cents.

Whiskeytango, I bought my procyon and recieved it near the begiining of May I began to flower them in June on the sixth while I can feel the resins on the buds they are all fairly small still. If I were to put an HID light in with the procyon would it still work to make the high resins the procyon or would I be better off vegging under the procyon and flowering with the HID? I'm told by the Hydroponic shop I would get a lot better growth with an HID is that true?

Why can't you post pics? Is it on the server end? Get in touch with one of us or hit 'report' on the post that did not allow a pic upload, explaining what you tried, and that it failed. The server was just epically upgraded, so it's time to work out the kinks!

Mel...your issues could be strain related...My JHxBB didnt do great with the LEDs, but these Kush strains seem to LOVE them...your not into the heavy production phase of flowering, so the buds may still appears smaller for now...put a link in here to your thread if you have made one, and I'll come check it out for ya...got pics up n stuff?

again...I am REALLY diggin these HKxBIs...great smell, lovely lookin plants, and after 3 fucking days flowering, there are already 3 plants with MULTIPLE sets o pistils...yummy, big n fast male in the bunch...is probably gonna get it on with that dark n fat SB...it turned out a chick too....had only a few males..the BR is iffy, think 3 males and 1 female...eh...tis good...CLONES a comming...pics up tomorrow hopwfully...

pics up tomorrow...found out what was wrong with my comp...So for sure, ALL 4 of the BR were males...

but I may use one for breeding...heard these were some fine beans

5 outta 7 of the HKxBI were ladies!! The super tall branchy male will probably be pollenating the fat n dark SB I got....
4 outta 8 females on the SB... one of these ladies will probably get the BRs pollen

Gonna clone the Church, 3 of the 5 HKxBIs (mother potentials) and 2 of the SBs...
About it for now...couldnt bring the SNLxNH outta the funk

work her again next go round....

So, first 3 pics are the SB ladies. Second is the Church (plenty o clones there!) Third is the HKxBI ladies, and the last pic is the BR and HKxBI daddies I picked...Both daddies will hit the SB. The cross with the BR will double up the blue genes, and the cross with the HKxBI will double up the kush factor. SB is a PKxBluB, so PK being HKxPA (purple afghani) and HKxBI (Black Indica). So that cross will push out the blue in there, hopefully making one HELL of a good med for anxiety/bi-polar/insomnia. Hell, or at least knock me the fuck out so Im not being an asshole anymore....lol...IF I chose the right ones to breed

Sorry if this makes no sense, but Im kinda planning this as I type, so its very ramble-ish....dont like it, dont read it. Im too high to care

The BR and SB is hopefully gonna be a good cross for me to be able to stay medicated and function during the day...
Church is gonna give up 5-6 decent clones, so thats good...Im gonna flower her and all the others, making mums outta the clones

They do look happy and healthy. Shame all your BRs turned out to be male, but yes, I'd breed them....it's a great strain!!

Glad your church grew out of her problems....she looks really good too. I'm hoping for my SNL x NH to do the same......just eventually grow out of her issues.

hey WH...is the BR the blue hen russian cross, or blueberry x AK47...I have heard of both blue russians...and sham on those SNLxNHs...grrrr
should I breed the BR into the church? or one of the kushs...how is the high on the BR?

Its a russian mix.....

You know Stealth considering genetics.....if the kush you are talking about is Master Kush that the stork sent I'd probably go with the Church.....the MK is second generation seeds and the church isnt.

On the other hand....the church has given you a hard time and the kush has grown well right??

may cross the BR into the church and the SB F2...one of the three super dark fat pheno moms Im keepin...culled the runts and lighter thinner phenos from the SB...

breeding for my med purposes. so I may cross em both, and once flowered, if i didnt dig one of the crosses too much, the seeds will be stork bound

Im sure either way, the crosses will all be super good..Im just tryin to make something to suit my needs.....but aren't we all?
