Motherly Love: A tale of 4 mums

So I've decided to start my Mothering Grow log.

My battery is about to die on my laptop so just some quick details:

4 mothers:

SNLxNH
White Widow
Master Kush
Power Plant

I already have 1 mother ready to go that I've started LST on to get it to bush out. She's about 6 weeks old; additional I've thrown 1 white widow, 1 master Kush and 1 Power plant into seperate cups to sit over night.

Soon these 3 seeds will go into a paper towel to germinate and I will then place them into rapid rooters at the first sign of a little root poking out.

Wish me luck; I only have 1 seed for the white widow and MK but both are feminized. The power plant I have 3 seeds. If the white widow or MK don't take then I will probably go with Church. I wasn't wanting a stinky strain but after reading Weedhounds log it sounds like it may be worth it.

We'll see.

All these strains have an estimated flower time of 55-65 days. So they'll all finish at almost the same time; which was my main concern as I will be cloning the heck out of these 4 moms.

Here are some pics of the SNLxNH mom in bondage.

She'll be getting a flush soon.. probably on sunday night

Currently she has about 11 good potential cuttings.. Problem is that if I took all 11 it would probably shock the plant to hell and back. Luckily I won't need any clones for another month or two

Here is a shot of the seeds germinating using the paper towel/zip lock bag method.

The white widow will probably actually be ready to put into a rapid rooter tomorrow. It had already cracked in the cup.

The other two I anticipate will be ready to plant into a rapid rooter in about 7 days or so.

all 3 of these popped. the WW popped really fast and had the longest tap root. Probably about 1/2" - 3/4" long. It already curled over and looks like it wants to pop open completely.

I placed all 3 into rapid rooters and covered the tops of their holes with coco. I used some plastic knives to label them.

These are all feminized seeds btw; not sure if I mentioned that.

I am going down that road too, hopefully will be re-vegging and starting in a few months as well and will be following along very closely. Good luck, although luck is not really an option!

Hey while you are at it, why not re-veg a mum too? I mean if you have the resources to, extra space, pots, what not?

Well I've already got a mother for the current strain I'm growing. So I'm not sure I'd want to add a stressed out mother as a part of my mums. I want my mums to live simple stress free lives. I want to make sure I get strong healthy clones, plus I'm not sure I'd have the patience to wait through the reveg process.

the SNLxNH is ready for me to take some cuttings. Probably very soon I am going to take about 12-16 cuttings and get things setup under my 400 watt HID. I figure it should be good for about 12 rooted clones that have about 1-2 weeks of veg time.

I will also be keeping my younger moms in here. The CFL's don't seem to be doing the trick. Admittingly however I have not set up my array in there like previously discussed. It is still only running on 3 23 watt CFL's.

Took 20 cuttings off my SNLxNH mom today. The mother is producing clones at a fairly quick rate. Only about 2-3 weeks ago had I taken 12 and now less than a month later it's produced about 20 more cuttings for me to take from her. She loves to make babies apparently.

I've actually thought about shutting this thread down. I don't need to update it much and there's really nothing to keeping a mother. You just keep it in vegetative states at all times.

I think I'm just going to update in my main grow log from now on.
