Last year I was beginning my introduction to indoor cultivation. Having learn from mistakes and good things, I feel ready to start all over again!

Some of you remember me for my 1st grow here: MonkeyBone's Pornstars of the Green!.

I had 2 plants, unknown strain. One had a nute prob and the other was fantastic. The nute prob one turned hermi and fertilized herself. And I fertilized 1 bud of the other to combine the 2.

So this grow here will be of 1 seed of the previous 2 mixed together!

Starting from seed, with CFLs.

I will plant the seed right when I'll post this. No germination in paperbag or whatever. And I will plant it in her final pot. No transplantation, no hassles.

4 gallon pot with potting soil, vermiculite, perlite and peat moss. Nutes will be same as last grow.Liquid bio nutes!

So this is a restart!!!!

Well, for the hermi thing, one of my fellow friend grower tried a seed from the same batch that I give him. the plant is now in advanced flowering stage showing brown hairs already. No sign of hermi at all. It's really a mix of the 2 plants I had!

Right on man....I was just giving a heads up....normally you have a 75% chance of a unstable seed when you use the pollin from a hermie.

I took a clone of a plant that went hermie in flower and the clone went hermie too weird thing was I didnt see the sacks until I harvested only polinated some of the lower inner buds.

My bet is that the nute problem stressed it out on the first grow and that caused it to hermie, and your friend had kept his stress free. It may well be that a small amount of stress may cause it to hermie though, so worth keeping Dutch Master Reverse in mind still!

Will plant seed in a plastic glass, then move on for the 4 gallon pot. Will put some plastic wrap over the glass to keep moisture in. Easier this way.

It will be on a 20/4 schedule for about 2 weeks. Then I will repot it in it's final pot. And then it will be on a 18/6 schedule.

yo monkey great to see you back for another go a bout. I would consider that you transplant it from that cup to a 1.5 - 2 gal. pot. Then throw it into the 4 gallon right before you flip ya light. you don't wanna give it to big of area otherwise the plant will spend more energy on root development. So you are just gonna do 1 plant.? I enjoyed your last grow man will differently watch this one. You should do another plant to, you might get another alien looking one again. Good luck tho bro. I also wanna say added bonus with 2 plants is if one does not turn out well at least your time won't be a total wast you will have another smoke to enjoy.

Hey KillerBudG!

Unfortunately, the little buddy died. Strangled by his seed's shell. So I started 3 beans this evening. If I see the shell on top of it and it won't come off, I will do a little operation.

And I don'T have the place this year for 2 plants. I was given a small freezer and the only place I found to put it is in the "grow" closet. Take 1/2 the space. So it will only be 1 plant.

I wish that at least 1 of the 3 beans will sprout without too much effort this time!

I will let them sit in humidity (plastic wrap over the red glass) as long as I see the first 2 leaves appear.


And to end with, the oddly shaped secondary I had last year, I have it here in a jar!!! Weigh 3.2 grams! I also have the very top bud of the same plant weighing ~3gs.

Hope that it will be as interesting as last year!

Do you think LST and FIM will increase yield even if I put CFLs all around it? Like I did last year?

I would suggest doing it, if not for any other reason than keeping the height at a minimum. They are both easy to do, any the results have been proven. With that said, do what makes YOU happy. If you don't feel comfortable FIM'ing, try LST, it is simple and you might just like the results

For LST is it best to use a piece of string (in fabric) or metal wire?

Height is not an issue, last plants measures 40" and 48" tall.

Looking good. CFLs deffinitly work. I got near 3 oz from my first grow. What a learning experience that was. Ill be keeping an eye. Im currently havin a newborn seedling problem, so its nice to watch urs and compare, Im odly at ease right now lol, Im getting very impatient haha.

ya man, my first grow, i was so patient with watering and I thought I got that down pat pretty quick and easy, but this time around I dunno, I did some things a little different and I wish I hadnt just so I could better try and figure out whats wrong. Eitherway I threw both of the ones I had troubles with in a 24/0 lighting cub with my bubble cloner. I gently removed the dirt around the one that just looked like crap and found that the whole plant, root an all was an inch. Pretty much no roots, so i used a spray bottle n cleaned the part where roots should be, then let it sit in a rooting hormone for 5 mins, then changed the soil so it wouldnt be wet and only time will tell. Do you plan on growing these straight threw or are you going to take cuttings for clones.
