I do not want to get myself, or the board owners into trouble by posting copyrighted material. I can add to the statements I made previously, that they also claim that the plants grown under the fluorescent lamps were also healthier, and that relocating the plants from indoor growing to outdoor growing resulted in better survivior rates. The fluorescent lamps resulted in no lost plants during the transfer, compared to 60% loss from the 1000W sodium lamp.

I agree that it would be helpful for everyone considering this type of light for their grow, to see the article. That's why I posted information about it, so people could make informed decisions. If you have a local hydro shop near you, I would imagine they have a copy of it there. I'm still unsure which is better. I'd like to see how things go when ticoblunts' grow gets to the flowering stage.

Secondly, What does post #79 about the CSI episode have anything to do with post #1 other than they both mention the lights?

ticoblunts thats an awsome setup you got going there i was just wondering i have been researching growing but not much hydroponics mainly soil. But when i saw your post that was the nicest and cleanest looking setup for a closest grow. Do you think there is some way you can explain your method to a new comer like myself. Such as a drawing of what you did. I dont know if this is the right forum to be be explaining that or not if so please just tell me how i can setup my closet to be exactly like yours. thank you

ill be more than happy to help....i am using a 20 plant aeroponic system with 8 plants in it...As far as light I use a New Wave T5 4ft 8 bulb sytem...all warm bulbs. I also have a 15" standing fan to move the stale air...I placed my plants one in every other hole too allow some room for grow.... As far as nutrients I use some local stuff that is a two part sytem that is used throughout the whole grow...in addition to the local stuff I add in Fluorlicious Plus!! These plants are from clone and vegged for about tree weeks from first sign of roots...I hope this will help you.. Feel free to ask any other questions!!

How many total lumens are you getting? What kind of harvests is your partner getting, and what seems to be the down sides from your point of view if any at this point to using the T5's?

See the thing about my post was to see who was jiving who. I didn't mention that I was agreeing with passthatshit or tico. I wanted to see who would take offense to it first and maybe that was the guilty party. Just a little something I seen on CSI. The post could have been about tico being right by giving us an example of how popular and effective the lights are when seeing them on the show and passthatshit was just jealous.. Or it could have been about tico tring to beef up his pitch about the lights. Depending on who side you are on, you will see the wrong in one or the other. Will the guilty party please stand.
P.S. I'm just having some fun. Tico when i begin to grow again I will need your advice.

hey bluebear, I really dont know exactly how many lmens im getting...Id have to look that up for you...My buddy got an oz a plant using 5 clones that were not vegged under this lamp...only bud cycle...I must add that the clones were only vegged one week do to another buddy of ours' fuck up...but they still came out great!! His grow look nice and now mine looks even better so we will just have to wait and see what these buds are gonna look like. As far as drawbacks...I would have to say you really have to watch the stretch with these lamps...plants tend to stretch fater with these lights...lights had to be moved twice even three times a day during the early stages of budding (growth spurt). To be honest with you i like to speak for myself and what I myself get from this light, not my buddy's previous grow...I can rate the vegging process at a 10+ on a scale of 1-10 with these lights...Im hoping the bussing is ust as good for me...I wil keep you posted as we go along!!

If you're implying that I'm jealous of Tico's grow, you are far from knowing what is true. I'm constantly giving props on here to growers that do a good job. According to the place that i bought the light from...ea bulb is 54w 5000 lumens, I have an 8 bulb system !! Pass that shit might not be the only non-beleiver...for that exact reason is why i opend this thread...so people can see the real deal!!

No I never flower with T5s. I have seen it done with good results. But HPS will always blow it away in budding if you can control the environment. The reason I see good results when budding with T5s is the environment is just so much easier to control, in regards to heat, etc.

Passthatshit, i know that you did not take offense when you read the post. Therefore i know you are not jealous. However, Tico always come back strong and on top. If he is a saleman, he sold me. It is possible that he could have some benefits in the sales of T5 lights but if he's got a good product that works I want it.

This is the first thread that i've read all the way through with over 100 post, because it is so interesting with you all.

If you read the entire thread then you know I never said that Tico doesn't have a good product. Just because someone is motivated to push a product doesn't make it a bad product.

What I questioned wasn't the product, but rather his motivation. But since the grow gods appeared to him in a dream, he's on a mission.
