Tico you know a bit about aeroponics right? What do you think of my simple ultrasonic fogger clone machine set up? (See pics)
I got my idea from the nutramist cloners/ultrasonic foggers.
I plan on having the bottoms of rockwool cuttings exposed to the humidity/fog. Using mild nutrients, superthrive and h202 in the fog solution. Would it be OK to have it going continuously or should I get it on a timer?

Your input would be greatly appreciated!

PS: Your Plants are looking stupendous! Can't wait to see what the final harvest is like.

I would probably have them on continuously with like you say a mild nutrient solution...you should see some roots poppin in about 7-10 days!!

Hey there GreenFog!! If Im not mistaken these plants are 28days into flowering...still a while to go I think they look pretty good for their age. Tomorrow they get a water change so that will give them a nice jolt of energy!!

I was looking at a thread on here about excelofizz co2 tabs...Im thinking about using these on the next grow...any reader of this thread have personal experience with this product? I really dont want to invest in a big co2 setup!!

Yea, 4 weeks. Looks about right. Better than mine at 4 weeks, but of course, you are using those kickass T5 lights! Hehe. Well, some of mine are starting week 6 and the others are starting week 4. Had a tragedy the other night...broke a stalk. Will post about it in my thread. You'll hafta come check it out. We don't have cool T5 lights, but got lots of CFLs and 400w HPS.

About the CO2, I don't know anything about those tabs, but I have heard of them. Seems to me that CO2 is best administered through the air, but who knows, maybe those tabs will work. The other thing is the heat factor. I know you had almost a whole page talking about this before, so I won't ramble. But isn't CO2 best utilized in higher temps?

I know those lights are very good, but it also has a lot to do with the hydroponics system, and the dialed-in nutes. Right, Tico?

Anyway, good sh*t. I wanna see what you yeild off that. Looks like it's gonna be about 2, maybe 3 oz per plant. and you have 6 or 8 plants? I can't remember. Nice. That's 12-24 ounces.

Are those CO2 tablets for folyer spray? If not and they are for the soil, they might not really do anything, roots like O2 and the greenery likes and needs the CO2. But I havn't looked them up, just something to keep in mind.

I have a quick question for all the light wiz's dont know if this makes any sense or not but why not ask it you know? If you have a HPS lights which generates more heat means you have to place this light farther from the the plant correct? Now if you have one of these light setup's you can place the lights 3" from the top of the plants. I dont know if lumens disperde pending on the distance it is from the plant but doesnt this light setup have more of an advantage compared to a HPS becasue it has to be farther.

Ex. 400HPS = IDK lets say 50,000 lumens but has to be 12" from the plant
Ex. T5 = IDK lets say 20,000 lumens but can be placed 3" from the plant

now you have twice the amount of lumens but your also 4 times closer to the plants then you would be with the HPS .

p.s. like i said i dont know if this makes any sense but seemed like an interesting question to me so pls let me know thanxz

ventilation and temp control is KEY.. when it comes to using HPS lighting..

you are correct.. it is basically a joke to be using HPS lighting and then have it 12+ inches from your foliage (there are exceptions)... it looses 1/2 of its lumens every 12 inches.. YIKES!!!!

BUT it is very possible to have 400-1000 watt HPS bulbs 2-12 inches from your foliage.. and grow some fore arm size NUGS

and NOW you KNOWM

hey tico from what i see in your pics you have 8 bulbs? if so that only generates 400w ?

Rustafa: 8 bulb system thats correct...the place i got them said 434w i think(little high here)...i will go and check on that for you and let you know...

Heres some pics taken today!! 33 days I think im gonna have an albhino bud...some wierd shit...you will see that on one of the babies thers some leaves with no pigmentation...the fan leaf that i removed from that side was also 95% white!! I thought that it would be just that fan leaf but it looks like the next leaves are the same abd the bud hairs seem to be whiter!! I guess its a fenomenom of nature!

Smoke on people!! Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly!!
