Red face no roots on clones

i used shultz powder root hormone. after 10 day's i was pulling off my humidity lid and accidentally pinch a leaf and the whole clone came out. to my amazement there were no roots and the tip was slightly brown. i have 21 clones and there are no roots on any. WHAT TO DO?

sounds like root-rot due to too much moisture, maybe ? ... I don't know what medium you were using, but next time, try using rapidrooter plugs, and cut your lights back, too ... clones don't need much light, they're busy building roots, not leaves ... I'm fairly new to cloning, myself, but have a buddy that wrote the book ... good luck

I have had that happen before. I moved them to the bubble cloner and withing a week they had roots. I would go with a bubble cloner. It works like a charm. I am guessing your using peat paletts? There are DIY bubles cloner plans on here and they don't cost allot ot make.

I have always used peat pellets with a a couple low wattage cfl's. If you have a way to keep the tray at around 75 degrees that works good (roots are attracted to warmth). The thing about root rot is you are gonna need roots for them to rot so not much fear of that right now. I use clonex rooting hormone make sure your dome has high humidity because the plant has no other way of absorbing water. Be sure to open up the dome a couple times a day to let the air swap out. lights should be on 24 hours a day and must be low wattage during the cloning stage (you dont want the plant to grow, just form its rooting system). You shouldnt need to water them after the initial saturation just mist to keep the humidity high

yes, heat is a major issue ... and, go back and read what I said about 'low light' during cloning ... also, if you use the Search function for 'bubble-cloner', I think it will pull up one of my couple 'how-to-build a bubble cloner' threads ... good luck ...
