Hi guys and gals, after being told a number of things about my baby, im unsure of the definate answer..
What exactly are the red boxed sections indicating on my baby???
Are they - pistles,preflowers,new growth - anything else???

also can i run both 70w hps and 6 cfl 20w each together until 12/12?
(then i should just use the hps..am i right?)

they look like stipules for the most part.

pic 1 and 4 might have a pistil showing.

you can use the HPS and CFLs once you switch to 12/12.

I agree with shake that you are seeing mainly stipules.

I would have to say though, that I'm 75% sure those are females....it's just a waiting game now

I think maybe tomorrow i could start 12/12 if i see any different from the close up pics.

Ya, looks like a go for 12/12

CFLs are recommended to supplement "low-wattage" hps lights. A 70w hps probably won't penetrate all the way though the plant to the popcorn buds. If you set up CFLs around the lower buds - then yield will definitely increase.

And yes with that setup that i did today its quite easy to move the lights up/down back/forth s i get get a decent setup and try and keep that bloody heat down (which is the main reason ive been checking her and taking photos cos that way i can 12/12 at the right time and obviously the heat will get reduced - and its much easier to keep her cool in the day)
