FLOWERING lights out/can i use GREEN light?

i'm in the process of flowering now with the 12/12 cycle and i 'heard' somewhere that when you have the lights out that you can turn on a GREEN light. is this true? i know the littlest amount of light that comes in can slow down the flowering cycle because of the hormonal changes in the plant when it is darker longer..... but before i use my GREEN colored flood light, i would like to make sure about this.

thank you to any answer/comments anyone leaves. take care

Howdy kuri,

I'm curious, why would you want to use a green light ? Unless ya need to do something after the lights go out..which I've had to do before and I used a green lens on my flashlight,so that there wouldn't be any visible spectrum light on them. A flood-light would add to the heat and you don't want that,in fact you want the plants and everything,to cool down..a 15-20 degree temp differential, causes more resin production.

What's the latest info on using the green spectrum ?

Have a good one...Torog

i'm sorry i was not clear enough. although a flashlight with green lense is a great idea. but the floodlight is OUTSIDE of the setup and in the room area so it will NOT effect the plants in the way of heat.

so my question now is that any green light will be okay to use in the dark? i don't want to stunt my flowering stage.

willybblue is an unknown quantity at this point
I have a fixture in my room and I put a green bulb in there...no problems at all...it's really dark still, pretty much totally dark...so I think that maybe why, but I am really no expert at all!!

yes green light is good for mj in the way of it not
herming your plants. The reason being is that
MJ reflects the green light so it can't tell there's
any light , just a quick explination for ya,
peace
