Im going to be working with a Passive Intake for the box

This is a 3 set of boxes from Staples cost $8.88USD
    http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...0/PICT0012.jpg
I Taped The Bottom and taped the top flap together (for the SSH)
    http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...0/PICT0013.jpg
I wanted it big enough to fit 2 5 QUART pots and probly 2 more.
    http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...0/PICT0014.jpg
Cut the top out of the other set of boxes for the top

Side view of the box With Mesurements

One of the Holes Cut In the top for my 4 Inch exaust (adding more)

Passsive Intake (Brings fresh air creating a "NEGITIVE" airflow)
    http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y12...0/PICT0018.jpg

So as i continue building and painting i will take pics of the step by step process.

So i was having some Medication i mean meditation time (lol) and from the size of this box i was thinking of either a 100w HPS or a 150w HPS. I have some extra cash that i was saving for the cannabis cup but i want to invest into something more then 7 days(i still plan on going next year with the wife). Now i dont know any reliable sites to get them from but i have seen both 100w and 150w HPS systems. any suggestions?

This may be late coming, but at least it will bump the thread.

This guide is truly epic, TRULY EPIC!!! I will be using this guide to create my CFL Grow box safely and looks really effective. I only want 2-3 plants, and that box is big enough to harvest from start to finish.

also instead of water bottles Homedepot has dryer duct for the passive intake and it cost like .30 cents USD for a 4 foot peice. works alot better and you can bend and move it to help with light leaks. when urs is done post the final result of your box here

I still dont quite understand the ducting and passive intake, can you explain that a little more? I'm trying to figure out what to hook up to the passive intake, but i have most everything else figured out.

I have a 2 foot solid strip that has 4 outlets on it, and i want to connect a outlet-to-socket with a Y splitter, which will allow me to have up to 8 bulbs going at a time. I might have to modify the box design slightly for the type of fixture im using. Soon as my girl stops tripping about me spending 20 bucks on some shit ill be GTG.

So what a PASSIVE INTAKE does is when the exhaust hole is bigger ( double the size perferibly ) then the intake hole it creates a NEGITIVE FLOW ( a breeze ) on the inside and will always make for fresh air intake. what works the charm is a 10 inch fan on the top instead of the computer fans . That will pum in crazy amount of air plus it has a speed regulator so u can ajust ur temps
    by a few dergrees.

But also get a smaller fan to blow around o the indside to help strengthen you plants stems to be able to support the buds

thanks for the heads up, now if i were to make a carbon filter would i want that hooked up to the passive intake, right?

Also, my space does not seem to get too hot, so the fan size i might have to play around with. I think i can find an adjustable desk fan for the same price as computer case fans(fuckers are expensive).
