Thread: lip reading

can any1 lip read. im nt deaf or anythink its just i think it wud b fucking cool to b able to lip read. i wana learn but i cant really b bothered i read that watching bits of films then watching them again but muted helps cause you are matching the words with the lip movments . just wondering if any on ere knows how to lip read and if so how did you learn.

took me about a yr to 14mos to get good at it , but i had no schooling / help . i'm self taught . give up on watchin the tv , learn from watchin real ppl. in your other post someone mentioned women are easier to read . this is usually true , but anyone that speaks clearly and forms their words properly is easy .
i get a bigger kick out of signing in public places due to being deaf . very few ppl. know what the hell were sayin .

cheers for that crispi i made 2 threads cause the hobby lounge aint really that buisy. yer ive always been able to pick up the odd word and its only been the past few days that ive started also when i was toned in the car 2day when ma mum was drivng to burger kind i fliped down that sun blocker thing with a mirror on 1 side of it n watched maself mime a few wods helped allot

na i aint gona go to any classes or anythink i aint that sort of kid i just try n pick it up

I'm really good at lip-reading. I learned by listening to what someone is saying and matching up the word shaping of their lips.
