I'm currently vegging an anonymous hybrid outdoors which looks to me like a sativa dominant strain with indica similarities as well. I can remember what the bud (that I got the seed from) looked like when it was given to me, but I was too stoned off of other weed to notice the high.

However, this plant has a definite "skunk" smell to it so I'm guessing it's some kind of skunk strain. I was checking out pictures of different skunk strains to see if I could match the buds' appearance and found the skunk red hair strain to be the closest so I'm kinda thinking it might be something similar to that.

My question is...just cuz my plant smells like skunk, does that mean it's from a skunk strain or do other strains smell "skunky" as well?
If I'm wrong, then I'll just have to wait and smoke it and make up a name myself.

Just wait and see how the plant develops, if it's more short and fat than it has more Indica heritage. The skunky smell isn't exclusive to Indica plants but if its very pungent, its a good indicator.

cool thanks.....glad I could inspire first post as well. At this point I'm I think I'm still leaning towards the sativa look, but I'm not very experienced with hybrids...maybe I can find a way to post a pic and have some one more experienced tell me more or less what it is.
