I just went to a Hydroponics store today on the other side of town. When I walked in the door, they asked me if I wanted anything to drink. I told them no, I was ok. A few minutes later I noticed a fully stocked bar behind the counter. Three guys walk in, they ordered rum and cokes, and a screw driver. I thought this was so very cool. They had all the best booze and mix's, nothing cheap.

Anyone else seen a Hydroponics store set up with anything cool for the customers?

I bought a 400 watt HPS light set up with bulb for $230. Not a bad price I would think.

interesting i guess do they have a liquor license or is it like under the table kinda thing? mines in a busy area and you have to walk aways from the store to your car. and 2 schools are near it one college one high school

Danm and I don't drink. They didn't have anything to smoke did they ? LOL Good price on the light. The only one anywhere near me is new small and I think it's the cops selling the stuff they took from me. LOL. Sounds like a cool place. Your lucky.

They are also putting on a big Party on 4/20/2007 with a radio station. 40 bands and all kinds of stuff. $35 entrance fee. But it last for two days.
And the Booze is in plain view, right in back of the counter with mirrors and lights on it just like a real bar would have. The drinks are free, so I do not know if they need a Liquor License. Different stats, different laws.

not my local store. they are not over friendly at all, I have to work them pretty good to get some life. And they are not interested in wheeling and dealing at all...probably think I'm a naR'c...lolo

This place really impressed me. It was like walking into a Salon to get you Hair cut and having some woman rub you down while you get the works. Plus they seem to have really good prices, Also they were by far the most busy of any Hydro store I have been to. Most Hydro stores that I go to, I am the only customer there. This place had at least 8 people buying stuff. Plus it was good sized and had systems set up and running so you could see what they looked like. They even had about 8 different light set ups with switch's you could turn on/off like a stereo store. And I mean big light systems with like 6' reflectors and crap. I will definitely drive across town to go there again.

These guys were more of the Grunge type of guys. Very nice and lots of info. Spent time with me walking me around and showing me everything. I am definitely going to this party they have on 4/20/07. This thing should be one hell of a blow out. $35, but it goes for two straight days and has 40+ bands and such. A radio station, and another company is helping to put it on also. Everyone is going to be RIPPED I bet.

I dunno... sounds sketch to me.. liquor up the customers... let them yap... sorry, not my cup of tea. My local hydro supply shopkeeper pours COFFEE down my throat... that's fine with me... booze though? uh, they should save it for their cop friends when they get off shift.

Myself, I get up at 5 AM and head out to work. I then get home at about 4 PM everyday. I do not look like a big pot head. Hold on!! What does a Pot head really look like?

All in all. I really have no worries at all about these guys being Cops. But I do have worries about the cops in windows with cameras around this place.

I know of these things, I have seen my picture before, many years ago. Scary thing.

But also, a few plants, screw the coppers. They can spend all that time, just to get a small fine and a couple days in jail out of me.

store employees put plastic bags over their license plates, and I park a block away and walk. Other than that, its a peaceful place to go.
