hey, these plants have grown like crrrazy, more horizontal than vertical....they're about 5 days into flowering.

I was wondering if i could trim some of the "less important" side branches to give them more space?

If so, would there be any side affects?

one more question.. will these guys stop growing once they start producing buds? or are they goin to grow through-out the whole flowering process.. im starting to worry about space... dammit

Sweet looking plants .
I'd leave em alone once they're already in flower , stressing them now is askin for trouble . Side effects = prob. worst case scener. would be hermies . What strain BTW .

cool thanks for the quick response, i already had some scissors ready.
these are bagseed, so i dont know if they will stay short or double/triple in size

i wish they will just stay short and stout i'd say i only have about 8-10 inches of space left for them

They will double or triple in size for sure. I hope it's not up, if so gently bend them over and tie down. They look great you should harvest a good crop. Seed from swag ( bagseed ) is just chronic grown outside crappy. If you feed it , it will be chronic.

You can cut off small side branches that are not able to help the plant in metabolizing food. i.e. if its not able to get any light and photosynthesize then its not helping the plant. Rule of thumb, if a leave is not dead and is still able to photosynthesize, then leave it alone. But if it is not able to photosynthesize then you can always cut it off. Leaves are like little solar panels that feed the plant energy. If a solar pannel is cover and cannot get any sun, then its not helping in any way, is it. Make sure you dont go to crazy cause you can cause shock and eventually cause hermie. But I have cut half way through flowering and had no issues or hermies.

Never cut off fan leaves unless:

- They are completley dead.
- They are shading some buds.
- They are moldy.
