How big?

First of all how big is your space? Then, look only at systems that maximize use of that space (mine is 2'x3', so I got an ebb/flow that is 31' by 18'.

Aero systems are great, but require greater knowledge and have more ways to breakdown (more complex).

My advise: KISS, an ebb/flow or wick system (or a combo like Emily's Garden), or DWC (use a reliable pump or your roots could drown with an outage).

To me the ebb/flow is the best compromise (wick is easiest), the open tray allows for optimal placement of plants (assuming it's not full, in my scrog I use about half my capacity).

Good luck.

depends on how quick of a learner u are, i knew nothing about growing anything and within a 2 weeks time i had mine up and runnin. i mixed areo with dwc, so i have the best of both worlds. and mine is all made by hand, and that way if a pump does go out on one i still have the other. + the dwc allows more oxygen to the roots as well.

DWC worked well for me the first hydro grow i ever did. If you look at my thread with some brief details of my DWC set up, it might help you in seeing what all goes into the set up as far as equipment is concerned. Other than that, the above statements are true and I would consider the options they have offered as well as DWC. If you do a search on google you will find a lot of info on these types of systems. There all fairly simple, but can take some time learning all the little tricks with hydro. Just like when you first started out with soil, it wont take long it wont take long to learn the new system yuo get. Good luck!!!

9 bucket DWC grow room
