wuts best guys.................leaving ur light on 24/7..............or just 18 hours?

what stage are you in? i personally think either is fine..... 24/7 if they are young and trying to establish themselves and 18/6 after they are past baby stage. i only change to 18/6 to save on that 6 hours of electricity.

24/7 is ok i suppose....what i did was 24/7 for two weeks from seed and then 18/6 one week,17/7 one week,16/8 one week and then 12/12!....less hrs of light better chances for females.....i had feminised seeds lol they would be females anyway.....it is economic as well....any plant will grow optimal with 18 hrs of light!

I tried 24/7 for the first time and just put it into the flowering chamber about 1 week ago I've noticed she stretched like nothing I've ever seen, so much so that I'm afraid I'm going to have to top the plant to keep it from hitting my light. I also had a temp increase(unusually warm temps in the area) so that may be the cause.
Do you notice any change in growth rate when go from 24/7 to 18/6? I have some vegging at 24/7 and I want to take them down to 18/6 but didn't know what effect it would have.

maybe think about not topping the top of the plant because it grew so fast... try LST low stress training and bend the top lightly and tie it somewhere so the plant will grow sideways at the top and not hit your light.
