Auto Water top off system mini stealth hydro

I have a 5 gallon tub in a mini stealth chamber (which I really like by the way) This is my second grow, It is a DWC, plants are 16 days old. Anyway I will be going out of town for 5 days at the end of this month, at that point I should be going through about 1/2-3/4 gal of water a day. Does anyone have suggestions for a temporary auto top off system. I use R/O water from my home R/O filter
thanks

Just build an I.V. style gravity fed unit. As long as the tube enters your tub at the level you wish to maintain you will be good to go. the level drops and bag replaces it via gravity. This can of course be refined a zillion ways.

The size of your I.V. Bag will be determined by how much solution you plan on needing to replace.

hmmm I do have access to IV supplies not sure how the auto shutoff would work though, if the IV bag has a roller clamp and gravity feed the fluid wouldnt it keep filling the resevoir no matter how high the level was? (thereby overfilling)

Thats why the exit port has to live below the level you want to maintain and your system must not leak.

Do this experiment and you will know what to do.

Take a water bottle and a cup. Fill the water botle full and the cup half full.

Turn the water bottle upside down quickly and plce the neck into the water in the cup.

You will notice the bottle does not empty and the cup gets no more full, just like a sparklets machine. When the water level drops, BLUB BLUB you get some water to fill it right back up to that level and that level only.

Now go build your autofeeder.

I will tell you also that if you seal off the top of your netpots, you will lose less water each day.
