Closed Air Exchange
I was reading an article CC magazine where a caretaker had a 950 plant grow using a closed air exchange. The setup consisted of 6" inline fans, carbon filters and an air conditioner. My question is--with an appx. 5x5 space will this kind of setup work? I can't cut holes for an in and out setup so will a 4" inline fan, carbon filter, and NO a/c work? Of course, I'll have co2 and circulation. I'm just worried about air quality. Please help!

You should be worried about heat. Take a look at your oven; take a look at your grow room plans. You'll notice that there's no appreciable difference between the two. I have a circulating fan in my oven too - it makes it a convection oven and cooks stuff even faster. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but you need to think things through more clearly. If you create heat, which your lamps and motors will do, then you need to get rid of that heat, one way or another.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you have probably never grown indoors before, so don't bother with the expense of the CO2. CO2 is for experienced growers who have every other aspect of their grow dialed in. For you, at this point in time, it would be a waste of money. PC
