I am planning on purchasing a Waterfarm 8 and a 1k watt light. The room I have is about 10 x 10. I was wondering what kind of yield people have got with this system and what light did they use?

I use them....or did for awhile. 8 plants at once got to be too much for me....then some were always males etc.... Best yield I ever got was probably 12-13 oz off of five plants or something along that line. I use a smaller space though.....about 8 x 5 or something. I also use a 1kw hps light in a cool tube for my lighting.

If you were to go with all feminized seeds and had the space (you do at 10 x 10) you could get a fairly good jungle going in there but you might need more lighting to maximize the potential (another 1 kw would have you REALLY good to go.)

what kind of yield do you get and what light?

One thing to think about with the entire setup. All of it...full....all the buckets and resevoirs etc all filled as normal holds about 25 or more gallons of water. You need to be able to have that available...both as something to empty it into and something to fill it with....including carrying all that water around. It gets old......fast. The closer you are to a drain and water source the better off you will be. Trust me.

can you use some sort of hose to drain? Do you use ro water?

400-watt conversion MH for veg, and 400 HPS for flowering, both run off HPS ballast ... I usually get anywhere from 2-4 ounces per plant, in soil ... this is my first hydro grow, but I suspect it will be doubled, at the minimum ... photo is of a topped Daddy's Girl, day 11 of flowering ... Wow....that plant is really gorgeous IR. Hydro is worth it imo.....but it pays to like to play with water...

That all depends on a lot more factors than just the light and the WFs. You could get anywhere from 6-30 oz, depending on how dialed in you are. 1000w is not enough for a 10x10 room and you'd be better off constructing a smaller sealed or semi-sealed area that will reflect the light on all 4 directions.

Even 5 ft square is kinda pushing it . Alot depends on what type of hood / reflector your using .
