hey man i am having some problems thought i would ask you a few questions


here goes ok on my nft system why r my plants roots seem to be drying out even if they have roots in the water ? also i have received several pkgs. of seeds from seed direct and from highgrade, and to be honest the seeds dont seem to be hearty, i can plant a bag seed and get 10 times the growth rate,why? all the seeds i have ordered seem the same they just dont want to grow which is a bummer, cause i have alot of money in those seeds, they all start out with the smallest leaves i have ever seen, they just dont have any vigour to them, is this common? about the nft system novice i dont have any probs using a bubbler but i wanted to try and better my growing techniques, man it just dosent seem to be better the results are very contrary to what i have read, i can have roots in the flow of nutes and some of them seem to dry rot an inch the part in the water whats up, i would appreciate any info you can give to help me out

sorry to hear about your problems. personally i havent had the root problem.
is your pump running 24/7?
i ran my pump 24/7 with 2 stones in the res. plus a power head for aquariums to keep nutes mixed and add extra oxygen to the nute solution.
the only problem i had with my nft was the roots slightly clogging the drain holes.
if you got any pics of your system, i would love to take a look at it and maybe i`ll be able to give you a better solution to your problem.
as far as the seeds go, i personally think it might just be older seeds.
how are you germing them?
have you tried placing seeds in the fridge for a couple weeks to put them in dormancy?

the seeds i am using i received in the mail infact i just goe them last week and germend them a day or two after i got them, i have allways used 8oz. of water and a tiny drop of superthrive then i put a paper towel in the solution and ring out the excess water, i have allways used this method infact ususlly seeds germ between 18-24 hours i have allways had 100% results using this,
you mentioned putting the in the frig. so they will go dormant? my seeds from nirvana i got a while back acted the same way, and i just received seeds from highgrade last week femmed ww and femmed nl and sone blue haze and they did the same way, last week i also received some fem dutch passion skunk#11, i just put them down last night i will see how they do,i should know tonight , but i have never had a prob, germing, like i said after germ, when there up they have really tiny leaves i have never seen that before and they arent verry vigourous, so it seems, but i do have some in flower from seeds direct, bubbalicious you know they started the same way but some how they made it their growth rate was slow and the also had the tiniest leaves i have ever seen, but now the have buds. i noticed you answered my thread aroound 8 am so i will try to catch you around 830 am central time wednesday mornin, or if there is a time more conveinant 4 u you name it and i will be there hey thanks alot man its good to hear from you and i really thank u for your help!!!!!!!
