i'm exactly seven weeks done into flowering and some buds are showing signs of pistel color change.... it is a fairly good size plant....around 4 feet tall with many buds all stretched out. not real condensed colas.

is it normal to have a good size plant and have some buds maybe the size of.... a bit bigger than a hershey's kiss? LOL that is the only comparison i could come up with right now.. the buds on the top are much bigger cause they are close to the light,,,but the pistil color chane is more happening on a couple lower buds.

so my main question i guess is if it is normal to have smaller bud sizes when the plant is bigger with more branches to reach out to feed. thanks

it depends on the amount of light the plants get, kuri. 4' is a pretty long distance for even an HID light to travel. artifical light's lumens decrees exponentially the farther away they get. however, the tops do get larger than the lower buds. many times the lower parts of the branches will have sparce buds. also, sometimes the lower buds, that may be shaded or recieving less light, will ripen quicker than the tops.

i think i understand ur question....i am in 6th of flowering and have the same visual joy with you kuri....big buds and then smaller and smaller....and many different individual branches around the center cola....it's called cannabis...lololol....how long you have left till harvest?....the pistil change is normal, i see it on my ladies as well...pistils from white turning into orange and some purple.....2/7 like that....the rest are like white with the leaves within the buds going from green to purple.....take care

hey dylan, thanks for your post. i got a 400W HPS light with blue spectrum in it. from the top of the plant to the bult is about a bit less than 3 feet i think. i'm planning to start my flush in another 3-4 days for a week or two as i am seeing a bit of pistil orange colors.

newgrower... me as well, i don't have super stinky smell, more of a sweet smell, but you can tell what KIND of sweet it is. i've been doing really well with one small ona block and ona gel, a couple ionizers and scented tea candles. it keeps it under some control.

so i guess it is normal to have some smaller buds, plus i assume they will start to fatten up once i start the flush and they know it is nearing the end. one last push!!! thanks everyone.

Depends on the strain. Bottom bud will change before the top bud. 3' away from the tops is a bit to much. Kind of late to change it now.

dont worry the plant is coming 2 a end it cant shut down all at once think about it u would be screaming if ur premo bud was in dierstraits.stay slippery
