does anyone know of or were i could get a more quiet air pump for my hydro setup the constant buzz of mine is really loud and really annoying

I found a good one...its the rena 100 air pump

its relatively cheap, and got good reviews. anyone one with a nosy pump in a close to living areas grow room should consider checking it out.

Try hanging your air pump from a rope, not on the ground where the vibrations get transferred. Same goes for noisy blowers.

I've had really bad luck with aquarium pumps. I've gone through 4 of them in 2 grows. So this time around I bought an industrial strength one designed specifically for hydro from my grow shop....but yeah, it's noisy. But I'd rather learn to live with the (still slight) noise, and have to run out to Walmart in the dead of night because yet another air pump died on me.
