waterfarm q's
Just about to start first grow in a cabinet/first grow ever. Confused as to how to water. I've read that most people water for 15min 6 or 7 times a day...... How do you make that happen...?....timer, setting on the waterfarm I don't understand, water by hand....? I'm only using a single bucket and will only be growing one plant.

if you're using a typical 'waterfarm' setup, you have an airpump, that forces your nutrient solution thru a surrounding ring, that drips around your plant ... (hope I'm understanding which type you have) ... I played around with my timers quite a bit, and once the plant is of any size, was cycling the pump about 15 minutes ON, 1 hour OFF ... it doesn't seem too critical, as I have tried lots of schedules, not a lot of difference, really ... one guy I know runs his plants on a pretty dry schedule, and I know some that run them almost constantly ... guess it's whatever your plant likes ... one thing that DOES help a lot, is to add an airstone in the bottom of your reservoir, gets oxygen to those roots ... (my setup in photo has more lines, etc than you will, as I converted mine to re-circulate, etc) ...

hey reaper, i have 2 of those exact power growers ( but individual plumbing). This is my first time using them, my plants have been growing in 2 of those for about 2 1/2 weeks. Any suggestions? How big do the plants usually get?

I don't know if there is a size limit with these things, you can literally grow TREES ... in soil, I always grew 6-8 plants at a time in my cabinet, now I can easily blow the doors off with ONE plant ... a local hydro store has a full-grown palm tree, complete with coconuts, in a big hydro tub ... I found mine have much more capacity than I really need ... add a big airstone to each container, really helps growth, and fights root-rot ...

I have my motherplant in a waterfarm. And I use a timer set for 15 minutes every second hour during the day, and half an hour in the evening and the morning (18/6).
The roots will grow rapidly through the drainage holes in the bucket, and down into the reservoir. So the plant will drink as much as it wants, and the watering will only work as
humitidy for the roots in the mediumbucket. I've had my motherplant for ages, and this works fine for me.
If you intend to flower your plant in the waterfarm, be careful with the size, cause it will grow like mad when the roots hit the reservoir. Good luck, hope this would help you a little.
