is it normal to have the leaves towards the top around forming colas go pale that early? In a satvia ominated plant (ak47). Using highgrades GH bloom formula.

Do you need to add Mg when using about 140 ppm tap water? Will the tops being too close to a 1k hps cause overall yellowing at the tops?

There could be a couple different explanations. Some aren't so great...
If you are using the GH 3 part the correct way, you should have plenty of Mg. Yellow tops isn't Mg def anyway- it CAN be an iron lockout.

Stinky is right, but you are just bleaching them with the light. Move them down or go to 600W.
