Hey guys, just joined this forum today and am seeking some helpful advice from more experienced growers. It just so happens that opportunity is knocking at my door and I'm answering it. I'm moving and have been looking at places with a few of my friends and decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to grow more crop. I've been thinking about using the sog method since I'm trying to grow about 100 plants. Would the ebb & flow work better for this type of operation? And was just wondering if you guys could give me estimates of how many lights I need, and tray sizes. I've been reading and thought that maybe four 400wt hps would be enough for flowering 100 plants using sog. Thanks for any advice.

most of your questions are things you should research out before posting here.

also, make sure you read through this forum, rollitup.org, and other ones as well.

All of the answers to your questions have been answered in older threads.

I'm new to growing as well, and this is the route that I have taken to educate myself.

Remember we don't talk about commercial scale operations.
That being said, if you are asking these questions, I would not try to start out with expectations of any sort, since you will be learning a lot as you go along. Also, working with partners is a very difficult and risky business, and your risk rises exponentially with every person involved.

Ebb n flow is a pretty forgiving place to start hydro for the first time. I assume you already have enough experience that you have mother plants available? You will need them. There is a sticky in the Hydro section called 'Latewood's Legacy' that you should read, because it is a great step-by-step for getting your feet wet, as it were. Also read the link in my sig, and the one by Rhizome listed above.

I would stay under 100 plants. At 100 the feds take over and become involved, you don't want that.

The point is not 100 it is who does life in jail ? Which one of you can take that for the others ? and can you live with yourself if your friends are in jail and you a free man ? I'm not good with that.

I might gather info but would not ask questions of that scale anywhere.
I'm paranoid, yes but I'm good with that.

This is the best n cheapest way 2 grow 100 plants.

Hi people, this here is for anyone out there who is worried about electric bills when growing inside or advanced growers doing it on a larger scale. 'The Box they want Banned' is a great design that allows you to lower your electricity bills by as much as 40%. Typical reductions in the region of 24-38%. This box will drastically lower your outgoings on electric each month/quarter. If you want to either a) simply save for financial gain - who does'nt, and have that extra money to yourselves instead of sending it off to your smug electric company or

this post doesnt make any sense and the link doesnt work,if this "box" slows down the meter so when i pge personal come to take there recordings for your bill its stalling out? if thats the case thats fraud and aside from stealing power is the # 1 reason people get busted plain and simple.i know this thread is old but still.point in fact now only do you get 3 shitty meals a day you also get sued by the power company.

2- 4'x4' grow trays w/ 138 plant sites per = 276 plants.
+ grow plants this size.

A newb bumped it, and some people wanted to comment. Even tho I saw your earlier post, and I knew the thread was old, I posted anyway.

I knew I wasn't answering the original poster, per se, thought I toss out my idea.

Depends on how big you grow those plants.

first off this forum is for people growing for personal use, talk of commercial growing is forbidden. second your answering to someone who has not even been back on the boards since the original post.

most reliable way to grow 100 plants, is to grow 200 plants, and chop down every other plant (sorry, I'm an insufferable smartass

the original poster might have got some unwanted attention with his 100 bud grow.(conspiracy and all)

that number of plants reguardless of size could get the grower federal time!
he should be getting out in another 2 years

question is why grow more when bigger is better

som countys in ca its not commercial,i know know its old but when i read the thing about stealing power i had to say something.at least for the 40 people that were going to read sed post an not respond.in sant rosa 30 plants is the max and in the green triangle its 99 for medical or recreation.commercial to me means a lot more than 100 plants,dont get me wrong.i stick with what i am allowed 2 by california law,however on a real scale say some one was in the buisness to make money, 100 plants isnt a lot.okokok so this has gone on long enough. any moderator feel like locking this thread down,it would make some people thrilled.i kinda like seeing were its going personally
