so i'm trying to use poly tubing in my 5g bucket ( at least i think it is, if that's even what it's called). i had 1/2 pvc, saw a cople pics of set ups with the tubing wraped around the side of the bucket. my promblem is how to wrap it around without getting kinks in it. the tubing i have is was laying in the backyard for awhile so i don't know if it's just to old. and now after searching, i can't find the pics of it to see if i'm missing something. so what i'm i doing wrong?

Throw the tubing in a bucket full of scalding hot water and let sit for 20 minutes. if that don't work you need different tubing.

it's possible that your tubing you are trying to use is dry rotted.

daddynobucks used 1/2 poly for his cloner with aero misters. you can check it out in thisthread.

also i've seen it done with a piece of a water hose.

there is no good reason besides money. lol. well space i guess. i'm actually gonna start soon. i think i'll start with hempy buckets as the cost should be minimal.

i might go with DWC after a while. and a new light is a must. i'm hoping to get a 600W HPS and some quality genetics.

the thin wall tubing bent in kinks for me also,the thick wall stuff WON'T kink.
A frying pan with 2" of water boiling helps also,I mainly heated the two ends and curved them,also cut the gripper rings off the T connector, a slight inward angle on the ends helps also

nothings comes easy for me, so the water boiling did not work, what will? new tubing, even if i only need enough for one bucket, shit....... ? i saw the thread u hooked me up with, ran across it already, so I'm missing that smooth bend some how. fuck me right! god damn it, i'll find some fresh tubing or something more flexible, was just trying to use what i found laying around. thanks any-who, fail till u succeed.

ya a 50' roll of new tubing,it will come in a tight coil and makes it easy to bend.
then you'll be like me with enough left over parts and pieces to make 20 or 30 cloners
and my parts suppy stores WON'T buy back my extras

or try this cut a piece long enough to make the circle,plug one end fill it with water put it in the freezer and freeze it solid. then bend it to your circle,in the bucket
let it thaw out and it should stay bent without kinks
thats how they make the bends in thin brass trumpets and trombones without kinking them

1/2 inch braided tubing, nice and flexible, and i could buy it by the foot! purple urkle been trying to mother out, had to take her out once already, chop the roots back, it was in a rookwool cube and was staying too wet, peeled that shit off too. put it back in my ez cloner and busted out some new roots ( roots excelorator), using the whole aqua flakes line now.
