I'm swearing by the Fox Farm line of hydroponic nutes ... I just follow their feeding schedule (comes in their brochure, and on their website), and everything has been great ... no-worry growing, in my experiences with Fox Farm ... only thing I add to their regimen, is a tablespoon of blackstrap molasses, per gallon, once a week

basically, the sugars feed the microorganisms ... also has something to do with carbon, but that's over my head ... but, the results are obvious, bigger, denser buds

look at some of the expensive stuff like carboload. Molasses does the same.
I use GH 3 part. I was looking at foxfarm but didn't want to change right now. All the others like Dutch were way too much. There are some cheaper one parts but you get what you pay for. |

Yeah I was thinking about a 3 part system, I just need to go back to the store sometime soon, I think my nute base has been working a little bit, but I don't want to relay.

i am to starting a first hydro grow with foxfarm and its going pretty good. i wanted to go with AN but wanted to use the rest of my ff nutes. if you do go the ff route remember that that big bloom has lots of sedement. if your running a aeroponic setup i believe you have to filter that crap out.

if its your first time around,i would start with a simple cheap one part mix like botanicare .veg then flower.its great for the price, just remeber your going to need twice as many nutes for flowering than you would for veg so pick up 3 smaller bottles or 1 small and one big.the more experienced you get the more parts of a feeding program you learn to use and make adjustments.its just easier when you have a little more knowledge on what your doing .imop good luck.

awesome, I think ill go with the botanicare, sounds good to me. Also, what are your guys schedules with these here nutes, like how often do you add then, i know i need to keep it like around 660ppm or something like that, but how often does that mean I have to add nutes? Thanks for all your guys help, very appreciated....

A general guideline for TDS levels is as follows: seedlings = 50-150 ppm; unrooted clones = 100-350 ppm; small plants = 400-800 ppm; large plants = 900-1800 ppm; last week of flowering = taper off to plain water
you can up or lower your ppm depending on your needs,if yuor plants look hungry give them a little more ,if you want to lower drain some of the water out of your bucket and add plain ph adjusted water.keep an eye on the salt build up with the botanicare, i always used less than recomended because of this if say you need 5 ml per 5 gallons of water i would use 3 -3.5 ml just to be on the safe side.if you can get some money save up canna nutes are amazing and are perfect for dwc applications. |

Awesome info, so do you just add the nutes when you change the water, if not when and how often do you add them? also, how often do you personally change the water? Thanks

to be safe change your water every 7 days, when you fill your bucket with fresh water check ph then add nutes then check ph again.through out your week check your ppm,s if they are down and the water level is virtually the same you can add small amounts until your ppm is what you want it to b.
