Day 17...

2 full days on the my new nutrient cycle. The plants are loving it. The growth was explosive over the last 48 hours. Look at the comparison from yesterdays pictures. I think this grow is looking rather sexy!

Anyways, enjoy the pictures...I do plan on putting a couple side lights up by tomorrow. I am putting of adding hydrotron for a couple days. Just does not seem right to do it just yet.

Let me know what you think!

Roots are there

So, my roots have fully developed are creeping around the tray. I will be moving them into hydrotron today, and into a larger tray. New plants will also be added to the veg room tomorrow along with adding lights to this veg room. I will post pictures when I am done so you all can see the setup.

The grow is looking very nice and I can not wait too get some clones taken next month to determine the sex of my plants. Should be good, I already think that I have 5 girls and 3 boys based upon the plant development and thx development on the leaves. The sticky and stinky leaves are always a good sign.

I will post some pictures later

Day 18

So I moved some things around in the grow room. I put in my larger tray to make sure that I have ample room for the rest of the seedlings that are coming aboard.

Enjoy, I will be posting the hydrotron addition in 3 days, and also I will be posting some new pictures at that time.

Let me know what you think of this set up...I will be adding my new row lights to this in a few days also!

Lookin good. Those stems are going to really fatten up and hold thier own real quick, then you will have to tie them up later cause of the heavy buds hanging on them. LOL

I'm along for the ride. Good show.

I love to see a good plan come together.

what a difference four days makes...

So here is the scoop on the last four days.

Feeding:

The plants have been on a watering cycle that waters them 3 times per day. I am currently using 3 part GH hydroponic nutes at 3.33,1.66,1.66 ml per gallon of distilled water.

Tomorrow begins the new growth cycle for full veg nute solution...at 7.5, 5, 2.5 ml per gallon of distilled water

Lights:

Still on an 18/6 schedule and looking good. I added two can CFL lights at 100 watt equivalents. I am considering adding 4 more to this room...since the plants seem to love these soft CFL lights. I will use my T5 for mid-growth and clones, and the CFL cans for veg growth.

Plant Status:

I currently have 8 strong (females, please god let them be females) citral plants in their full veg state. They are all doing quite well, but some are doing far better than others.

Tomorrow is the day for the hydrotron. I know I have been saying this for a while, I just wanted to make sure the roots were growing nicely. Sometimes it is better to make sure everything is going smoothly before transplant.

---Enjoy the pictures I added. Please let me know what you think!

There are always runts in the crowd. Not to worry it's normal. We are watching and hoping you get all females but one male always shows up when it's ladies night. LOL That's why we don't count on just one plant. Better to have many and only lose a few.

Everyone I've heard growing says they want a bunch of plants cuz they aren't always female, almost every grow I've had, the plant (one solitary plant) ends up female......guess I'm lucky.....

hey guys...noticed a coupl ethings today

New nutes are doing good...I am needing to add more cal mag though. Magnesium defencencies are prvoing to be a little bit of a problem...some of the bottom leaves are wilting downward and getting brown spots. Not nute burn, definitely magnesium issues.

I would post a picture, but this site is really lacking lately. I have no clue why!

peace,

Irony maybe? In the fact that in the beginning you said, "Cal mag solutions does, in fact, own this forum!", yet ya ended up having a bit of that deficiency LoL

this site has it moments, but it's become my home...I wouldn't trade it for the world

The kids are looking nice though! I'm sure you'll get everything in tune sooner or later!

Happy Growing M8!

Day 26

more pics for your enjoyment. Added hydrotron today almost without incident...While moving around my drip watering system one of the tops of a plants broke off...I know, I know...it is karma for cursing earlier in this thread. Besides that the girls seem very nice and healthy.

New seedlings are sprouting and are doing quite well. I will be putting them in rockwohl tomorrow. (I swear! )

Watering cycle seems like it has been too little. Have not adjusted yet...but, I am considering going to 4 times per day. We shall see. It looks like the girls are hungry/thirsty. Tell me if you agree with this statement.

Calcium and magnesium deficiency is being handled. Plants are bucking up and lower leaves are showing signs of recovery. Brown spots are going away also! Slowly though.

Any comments or suggestions are always appreciated!

One month till cloning! WAHOOOO!

The biggesr of the plants are exhibiting signs of underwatering. I will keep with the 15 minute waterings 3 times per day for now. But, if they start showing more signs I will bring that up.

I am putting the new seedlings in rockwohl today as they have all sprouted and seem to be doing fine. Not leggy at all under this t5 which is nice. I will be propping them up underneath a brick to give them better light exposure also.

One month to go till clone. And these girls are very stinky. Love the smell, makes me want to pack a bowl

anyways,

Happy Growing

Day 30...Does this look right to you?

H= Hydro Grow
C= I am not growing in Coco
S= Not traditional soil
L= No other soiless mix
R= growing in RockWool
T= growing in HydroTon
D= Automatic drip system grow (8 point system)

E-indoor
E-hydroponic
E-Hydrotron
CSL-no soil
HCL-Hydro drip system
SCL-no soil or additives
SCLR- Runoff ph at 6.2
E-Distilled water
E- nuetral
HRT- Distilled purchased from store
E- 30 days
E- GH 3 part nutes, agressive growth schedule. Cal Mag 1 tablespoon per gallon of Distilled water
E- Do not know my ppm level (need to purchase a ppm meter)
E- T5 4ft. 6 bulb lamp
E- Air temperature is 76-78 degrees F, Night temp is 65-70 degrees F, res is room temperature.
E- Humidity runs at 44-50%
E- 18/6
E- oscilating fan, vent fan at top of room, and air in through ac unit.
TR- Soaked media in Distilled water...don't think this is effecting anything at this point though.

My question is this. Is this normal for fan leaves to bend upwards from the vein? Please look at the pictures I have provided.

I have been spraying the plants with a distilled water cal-mag foliar spray due to calcium and magnesium deficiency that has been taken care of since the addition of agressive nute schedule and foliar spray combo.

The last time I changes the res was last week. I will be changing it today...and continuing aggressive veg growth schedule as listed by GH recommendations.

Any help would be appreciated...and if you think I am just being a paranoid stoner, that would be helpful too!

Any questions you might have, I will be glad to answer. Thanks!

To flush or not to flush!

PROBLEMS:

*I am getting one plant that is droopy
*I am getting this canoeing effect upward from the vein in my fan leaves, no downward drooping. But, something that needs to be watched.
*I am still noticing some lingering calcium and magnesium issues, which is probably the main issue that is causing all of these symptoms.

Note: It seems like I am seeing the beginning stages of lockout, only time will tell with this one!

PLAN OF ACTION:

* I am going to see if I can get the plants to perk up with the new nute schedule first. My PH is staying at 5.8, and that seems good since I flushed the res yesterday.

* If I continue seeing signs of these issues, I will be flushing with distilled water and cal-mag only. I want to see if the new nute regiment works prior to flushing the res again and using just distilled water and cal mag.

* I raised my lights today. I think I was burning the tips of the larger plants...too close to T5 light.

* I am considering putting the plants into pots with the hydrotron instead of just sitting in the tray. I think this will make things easier in moving the plants to flower later this month.

* I have decided to flower all of the these plants when the time is right and I get these issues under control. Tweaking these hydro systems is proving to be a bitch, I miss the simple nature of soil sometimes. (LMAO)....But, I know this shit smokes soooo much better.

WHAT I NEED FROM THE FORUM:

* Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong here would be helpful. At 30 days I should now be able to use full strength veg nutes to get these girls exploding with growth.

* I am wondering why growth in some of the plants seems stagnant. The plants are getting super dense, and I am not seeing much height from these girls. I raised the lights in hopes to correct this problem, as I think that might have been the case.

* Should I flush now, or wait?

So...I flushed the res...again. Distilled water with Cal mag. Ph level is at 5.8...

I also did a foliar spray of water with cal mag.

This was necessary. I could not avoid it, and I did not want to cause potential damage because I failed to act quickly. I need to get this lockout over with, and move onto some growth.

Also, I am considering tying down two of the plants later this week...to let the rest of the plants catch up to the canopy I want to develop.

So, With all of this being said...it is time to continue the flush. I let the new water run for 30 minutes after the flush during its normal watering time. I wanted to make sure the nutrients were being worked out of the tray.

We shal see the girls buck up after a couple days...and the canoeing issue will be totally gone. I am positive of it.

Flushing the res with distilled water and calmag did the trick. The growth today was good, along with the plants correcting themselves from the lockout. There is a light at the end of this tunnel.

raising lights should help with height and full str nutes no doubt sorry I running a little late hehe. what is light height at now? if already stated I appologize and must have missed it. seperate buckets would make the move to flower alot easier I am sure. I do my whole grow in a tray so I dont have to move them but can tell you the entire tray is a root mass at the end
