PPM meter?
Hey all, Great info on this forum and some amazing grows!
I have a question about a PPM meter. Currently and on my last grow I had some problems with yellowing leaves, Im assuming its either nute burn, cal mag def problems. I am looking to get a PPM meter and dont know which route to go. Any suggestions on which work the best for the money? I cant spend too much I just bought a 600W Galaxy. Any great sites or ebay that have the model I should get? Any links would be more then appreciated! PS- If you have a chance please look at my thread in plant problems I have pics and everything I cannot figure out what is going on. (I did a PH test lastnight (6.0-6.5) and today the first test showed 4.0 or lower. Then I stirred the water up and it was 6.0 +- a few points?) Its a wicking system with airstones. The res is very small and needs to be topped off every 2 days or so. |

Sunleaves makes a great TDS meter that is like $35. I've had mine for two years and it has yet to fail me. I would say the only downside is that its hard to calibrate right on 1000 PPM, so its usually off by like 20 which is pretty trivial. Also I am not sure if its waterproof, I've never dropped mine into the water.

Doing this would take myself and my friends out of harms way by knowing the source of our cannabis, as well as take hundreds of thousands of dollars off the black market annually. It would also lower the demand of black market cannabis, and would ultimately help keep cannabis out of the hands of minors. |

I use the sunleaves one and its great, decent price and u can pick up the 1000ppm solution to calibrate it when ever u want.

Sunleaves
I bought that one tonight!
I bought Fish emulsion and Bot Sweet and The flowering fert with high phos, cal, mag. I added a good amount of fish emulsion and the PPM is at 1200 now, previously it was only at 600. |

a ppm meter is useless unless u know what you're looking for. seedling's 50-150 unrooted clones 100-350 small plants 400-800 large plants 900-1800 ppm.your ppm are fine for your older plants. but do not use the same rez water for your other plants.
