Hello,

I'm trying to figure out what size (diameter) of PVC pipe should be used for my system.

I'm trying to do a NFT setup... with 2" mesh-pots. I was thinking of a small diameter PVC pipe, so more root area is covered by the flowing water... but then I thought of the root ball... or what's its name?

What are your suggestions? I don't think it would be cool to have my plants choking themselves to death because their roots are clogging the PVC pipe.
